Saturday Night Live: Nick Jonas (2021)
Just solid enough
The boner song is an instant classic and the other sketches are fine to. Nick Jonas isn't the best host but he does fine. I overall was surprised as I thought this was just gonna be another mediocre episode.
Saturday Night Live: Regé-Jean Page/Bad Bunny (2021)
An overall decent episode
So far my favorite episode of 2021, I actually really thought the skits were much funnier and the host was solid to. Most of the negative stuff is just carried over from the overall season. But a surprisingly well done episode
Saturday Night Live: Regina King/Nathaniel Rateliff (2021)
Another Meh
Regina King just doesn't have the energy in my opinion, she tries but it feels like a hit or miss. Overall I don't have much to say but it's just a below average SNL episode.
Judas and the Black Messiah (2021)
Definitely worth a rewatch
Now I like to watch movies as movies and try to throw politics out of it. I don't care if a movie is "liberal" or "conservative" propaganda. I just want to sit down and watch a movie for once.
Now with that out of the way, I was quite surprised by this movie. I was looking forward to watching this movie for a while and it met my expectations for sure, didn't necessarily exceed them but the performances, particularly from Daniel Kaluuya and even Martin Sheen Who I believe have an underrated performance. Well done and I hope it gets some Oscar recognition.
Saturday Night Live: Dan Levy/Phoebe Bridgers (2021)
Better than the last episode but still needs to improve
I do appreciate the energy Dan Levy has, and I did chuckle at least once in every skit. But it still has weaker moments here and there where I feel like I am supposed to laugh but it just doesn't come through me.
Saturday Night Live: John Krasinski/Machine Gun Kelly (2021)
Not a great episode
Fairly mediocre and annoying, the cold opening was actually a little funny but the rest of the episode feels like life, it's just struggling to get by.
Fargo: Raddoppiarlo (2020)
A Turning Point?
The first 2 episodes weren't great and were kind of disappointing. This episode feels like the show may have some kind of engagement for the rest of the series. The pace was a little quicker and the style was all still there. This has been my favorite episode so far out of this and the previous 2 episodes.
Fargo: The Land of Taking and Killing (2020)
Jessie Buckley Shines!
It felt a lot like the first episode, it was slow and occasionally boring but a nice stylish approach and Jessie Buckley's excellent performance keep it engaging throughout. The end kept me ready to see the next episode.
Fargo: Welcome to the Alternate Economy (2020)
Not amazing but still interesting
Solid performances from the entire cast so far have been really intriguing and will keep you watching. A few funny moments here and there and the strange atmosphere is still there like the pervious 3 seasons. Although it does feel slower and some viewers may lose their interest in it, but it's overall a solid episode.
