A great movie with an excellent cast ...and great comedy!
29 January 2001
"The Wedding Planner" seemed to be just another comedy/romance for the teen audience, at least in the trailer. I was, however, looking forward to another Jennifer Lopez movie.

The plot was excellent and original with great humor and romantic lines and characters. The comedy in the film really helped pull this film off. The cast was also a GREAT help towards making this film perfect. Jennifer Lopez (The Cell) was great as usual and Matthew McConaughey (U571) was also great in the movie. The pair were definitely great and helped add EXCELLENT comedy to their roles. Bridgette Wilson-Sampras (House on Haunted Hill) was also excellent and looked beautiful as ever. Probably the funniest member of the cast in "The Wedding Planner" was Penny, played by Judy Greer (Jawbreaker). Judy was extremely funny an added alot to the movie!

I would not exactly classify this as a "chick flick"...its funny, romantic and GOOD! Go see it!!!

An ok cast...gone to waste!

This movie is simply and purely an hour and a half too long. The only thing that saved this movie from being a total bomb was Devin Crannell and Lindy Booth. They were extremely talented, but some bits were a little bit more of an improvisation. The movie is really bad so unless you want to kill 90 minutes on a day when there's NOTHING (can't stress that enough) to do, I would watch it.

Just An Amazing Mystery Flick -- With A Bite!
31 October 2000
I must tell you the truth. The only reason I wanted to see this movie was because of Rose McGowan. I think that part definitely worked out...pretty well actually. However, the film was very good too. Some parts of this movie are really good.

The film has great action also. The mystery is pretty hard to figure out and Rose [McGowan] does some "Oscar-worthy" acting towards the end of the film, but I don't want to give anything away. Adam Beach and Jurgen Prochnow are also great in the movie, along with some of the other stars.

If you like mysteries, or action movies, or just like Rose...I totally think you would like this movie.

The Usual Indie-Flick...
31 October 2000
I really only was interesting in seeing this film because of the stars in it (Rose McGowan, Heather Graham, David Arquette). However the movie was fairly boring but had a lot of funny moments. I suggest you see/rent this movie if you like Rose, Heather, David or any other actors in the movie.

...All in all, it was a good movie.

Just another wonderful indie-flick...

If you are the type who loves those road [indie] flicks, then this is definitely the movie for you. The acting is great and the plot is interesting, although the ending is predictable.

First off, I and many others, probably agree, that Rose McGowan saved this movie. Her beautiful face and EXTREMELY good acting is purely brilliant. Dan Gunther and Salvator Xuereb are good too. They are really good together, these three.

If you like indie-road-flicks or Rose McGowan, this is the movie for you.
