Lilo & Stitch (2002)
this is dumbo/bambi quality
This movie could just have been made 60 years ago. It feels the same as Dumbo or Bambi. Simple animation, a couple of characters and a good story though the last is very different then the elepthant or deer. Animating on Elvis songs is wonderfully done. The Hawaiian music is a winner too.
When I first read about Disney making a movie about an alien crashing down on earth and taken up in a human family I thought the bosses had lost their mind. No one will ever buy that from the company. I'm glad that I was wrong. A Disney Classic, but with a unexpected approach.
Personally I never felt there was anything wrong with the modern, 90's classics where the hero and heroine fall in love defeating the badguy helped by talking parrots, fish, theapots or clocks. I hope that it doesn't take to long before Disney returns to such movies. I would'nt mind seeing 5 more "Lilo & Stitchs" GO DISNEY! Traditional hand-drawn animation rulez forever!!
Groundhog Day (1993)
Great movie
Other viewers said it's a really funny movie well I dissagree with them it wasn't that funny but it is a great movie too watch. Bill Murray did some great acting trying first too make everything perfect, that alone took him several years, too win Rita's heart and get her into bed. That didn't work and he gave up for a while then Rita said something that was the turning point. The character went from rude and cyincal too caring and nice.
What made him relive the day over and over again? In my opinion it could be several things. 1 being the blizzard 2 the ground hog 3 other viewers mentioned this first learning too love himself before he could love another and win their love in return, what makes me think of Beauty of the Beast.
Sinbad of the Seven Seas (1989)
Aladdin
I fell in this movie on accident. The name Jaffar and Prince Ali fell so I thought I was watching "Thief of Bagdad" (Most who is reading this doesn't know but Disney's Aladdin was for a part inspired by Thief of Bagdad, names and plot) so I was excited. When the name Sinbad fell it made me frown, I didn't understand what Sinbad and Prince Ali (who I thought was Aladdin) did in the same movie. or I remember hearing my friends, who seen this movie, mentioning Sinbad in Thief of Bagdad. I turned out too be a Sinbad movie and the Prince Ali character was just a part of his crew and had not much dialog his reasons was that he wanted to marry this princess Alina (who I, at that moment, thought was the live-action version of the beautiful, strong Princess Jasmine from "Aladdin") The princess wasn't much better she just let her be captured by the wizard and waited, chained, for her rescuer who came in the form of Sinbad. Another something I didn't understand, why Sinbad and not the prince? The prince wanted too marry her right and not Sinbad.
Anyway I decided too watch it I found another Aladdin refer, the kalif looked a little like the sultan of Agrabah. The further the movie passed along the more I started too dislike it. The plot it self would be fine for a movie but the rest was bad. The movie had nothing too do with the wonderful Disney's Aladdin. I don't recommend renting this movie, waste of money.
If you wanna see Sinbad brought to live on TV I recommend watching "Adventures of Sinbad, The" (1996)" But don't watch this, waste of time & money, movie.
Lady and the Tramp (1955)
Disney and dogs
Through out the history of Walt Disney the company made allot of films that had dogs in the star role. Both live-action as animated. The best known, and most populair "Disney dog" is of course Pluto. Lady and the Tramp is the most romantic Disney movie with dogs, the story of the street wise Tramp and the cocky Lady living an adventure that lead them through the city from the rich neighborhood too the famous "Bella Notte" alley. Is, to me, one of the most romantic Disney features ever made.
I'm still wondering what ever happened with the plans for Lady and the Tramp 2.
I recommend the movie for kids but also couples looking for a romantic video/DVD to spend the evening on the couch cuddled up.
Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation (1992)
Liked it
When I saw the annoucement for Nerds 4 I thought of Nerds 3 which I saw a week before. I laughed about Nerds 3. It was so funny, the Lewis character really did it. But as most movies it's good for a one time watch. The first part wasn't funny at all, close to boring. Then after the break the party with the food fight came. From there the movie improved but it didn't came too the level of humor in Nerds 3. Come on the nerds weren't nerds some times they where pathetic it wasn't funny anymore.
All in all it's a movie too watch if you have nothing better to do.
Aladdin (1992)
The best animated movie ever!
The best animated movie ever, the characters are very deep and realistic. Animation is wonderful, backgrounds are breath taking. When I read the comic I knew I wanted too see that movie in theaters, I did and from that moment my life took a turn. Years later I joined a ML about this movie, the best decision of my life. Aladdin turned my life around forever! Highly recommended for kids, and adults. Funny, romantic and of course entertaining.
