Having grown up in North Carolina in the Sixties in an area known for furniture, I found this very authentic. I was a couple of years younger than the main characters but found most of their situations true to my experiences. I enjoy the reruns but I am disappointed that it wasn't continued. The actors were well cast. Several of my friends and I enjoyed watching and discussing the show each week.

It was better than I remembered

I couldn't sleep last night after I watched it. I really enjoyed watching the movie. I watched it when it was first aired and again about 10 years ago and again last night. The acting was very even and very good. I was impressed that the local actors were as good as the "Hollywood" stars and future stars. Usually can tell the locals from professional actors 'cause they really stand out.
