Guess this movie is a living proof that IMDb ratings are overrated

First of, the actors and director do an amazing job, so don't get me wrong there but the movie itself is awful.

Very slow, very predictable, no climax, no point, no nothing. This movie simply is a living proof that IMDb ratings are paid by the producers themselves in order to sell the movie. No other explanation can I give to the 7.1 rating at the time of this review. If you don't believe me please find some spare time (but don't take if from anything thing even slightly important...just find some dead time) and watch it. After that please leave a rating here and I am sure the ratings (if not manipulated) will drop immediately.

I know movies are like the food we eat and based on taste, but I am sure that there is no one to taste this movie up to a 7star rating.

Bottom line, waste of time.

Brake (I) (2012)

Keeps you interested up to the end but unfortunately not the best ending

I must say I liked the movie. Would I watch it again? No. Up to the very end the movie was very interesting and it has been thus far - by my standards one of the best movies that you see 1:20mins only one actor acting.

Acting was good to great. Special attention was given to verbal communications to convey meaning and a big thumbs up for that.

Cinematography and editing was very good, too. It does not get boring or repetitive and the movie maintains an edge right close to the end. Very clever script actually.

I would spoil the movie if I continue to speak about the ending but If you haven't read many reviews (that could spoil the end) and like mystery flick I would recommend this movie.

7/10 for the clever movie but loses some point for the ending.

Cloverfield (2008)

Just watch it and you will not be disappointed

Unique film. Truly amazing. Best horror / thriller / action movie I have ever seen.

No need to comment much. If you have not seen this then YOU SHOULD. It is truly unique and it really makes you think "what if this really happened to me"? As others have mentioned, you might get motion sickness from this movie, but then again, that is the beauty of it.

OK enough with the comments. Just go rent it, steal it, download it....I don't know but you must watch this. If you get a chance to see it on the theater, don't miss the chance.

Immortals (2011)

Good for Sunday evening theater 3D, bad as a film. Don't rent

4 stars for the sound effects and some nice fight scenes. Good if you have nothing to do on a Sunday evening and would like to kill some time on a theater. But if you got the slightest other thing to do, don't waste your time on this. Even more so, waste time and money on a rental.

Don't rent it, unless you want to see for your self how bad it is. The only stars on this movie are because in theaters the sound is, well, surround which helps with the effects.

I suggest to read the other reviews and balance the good and the bad before deciding what to do with this movie.

My opinion, this is overrated.

Shaun of the Dead (2004)

Overrated

Oops! To me this movie was a total disappointment.

Perhaps too much British humor that I don't understand but nothing on this movie reflects the current IMDb rating.

Very few lines in the movie made me smirk, and no line at all made me laugh.

I would not recommend anyone to watch this move, but if you are curious about the rating and if it deserves it or no, it is a 1:30h movie, so be my guest and watch it.

The acting was good I might add but that does not add up for the poor plot.

Waste of time 3/10

Tucker and Dale vs Evil (2010)

Funny Funny Funny....Don't miss it

This movie is my first review ever in IMDb (since 2006 a member), and this for a reason. It is one of the funniest movies ever. There are a lot of unfortunate events in the movie that make you laugh till you cry. And the best part of it, is that the events are not some of those dumb "split on banana skin and broke the neck" but are very natural and very well intervened. Acting is superb. Both Tucker and Dale are so well played that I would reward them without another minute of thinking if I had the Oscars in my pocket.

A must see. Wonderful addition to the Comedy collection.

Keep it up guys whoever you are.

Lost (2004–2010)

Excellent story telling but with Extremely bad ending

Up to the last episode this series had won 10 out of 10 for me. Ending just gets 0 out of 10. The most stupid ending ever, who left all the questions unanswered. I wish I had not seen the last episode.

The funny thing is, I had seen the first 5 seasons in 5 years. Then right before season 6 was out I downloaded them all so that I could start Lost from the beginning and try to follow the story line without the interruptions (between the years) so that I could keep my memory sharp and focused on the whirlpool of the events.

What a waste of time. In the end nothing made sense so eventually I did see the sessions once again for nothing. I would suggest leaving the last episode out and try to find yourself the answers would be much more entertaining end thrilling. After all, I don't like the purgatory idea and I would like to add one more question to the plate of the common questions left opened.

Who the hell is Charles Widmore and how the hell did he get his role?
