The Village (2004)
Excellent story and cast..
No big spoilers in this review.
Saw this movie in it's second week after hearing mixed reviews from
friends. Personally loved it.
The story was built up superbly and I did not expect the ending. The acting especially by Bryce Dallas Howard was amazing.
If people did not like Signs or the sixth sense then it makes no sense in then seeing the movie because they will not appreciate the work of the director. He has done a wonderful job in building up the suspense and keeping the audience guessing.
Overall I give it a 9/10
Tomcats (2001)
Overall amusing but some parts are really bad
The movie was very funny in some parts. The librarian with the magic bedroom and the whole wife being with another woman ideas were funny. Unfortunately they had to ruin it with the whole hospital routine. Would have given the movie a 9 if the left that part out.
A Kid in Aladdin's Palace (1997)
Not a very good movie
Am a big fan of the lead actor and Rhona Mitra is very cute but the movie overall was bad with the supporting actors just standing around. The first kid movie was much better. Watch only if a fan of the lead pair.
Beowulf (1999)
Entertaining movie
Am a big Christopher Lambert fan so enjoyed the movie. The plot was.... well there might have been a plot but I did'nt find it. Very attractive lead actress. Overall entertaining movie for action fans. Lot of gore though.
The Practice (1997)
Absolutely the best show on TV
I started watching Practice only a few months ago (Big thanks to FX). Have been glued to the telly ever since. Amazing casting. Actually saw Dylan Mcdemott in Three to Tango before seeing the practice and wondered why all the fuss was being made for such an awful actor. Now know why. He is the star of the show. But the true genius lies in the supporting cast. Every single actor seems to be hand picked for his/her role. Even Marla Sokoloff(who I thought was very pretty but not at all fit for the role) now seem to be an integral part of the family. Recently heard rumours of a possible end to the show. Please, please let it run. With Buffy becoming an exhibition of cheap thrills, the practice is the only whing worth spending an hour on.
