Vicktor Made The Movie
25 March 2004
Out of everything, Vicktor was the real star. His transformation was scary and his voice was creepy. I had reservations about getting this when it first arrived on PPV. Then I thought, vampyres and werewolves should be very interesting. Aside from the abrupt opening right into the action, the movie was strong in what is was built to do, MOVE. It kept moving too, as they were on slow parts what-so-ever.

The settings were awesome, the special effects were grand and the actors were on cue. The music was not my speed, so that was my only downfall. I noticed a few glitches here and there but still, I enjoyed what I saw. If a sequel or prequel should appear, just bring Vicktor back somehow. Rating 9 out of 10 stars.

Showtime (2002)
Just in from the flick...

I want to say on a whole, I rate it a 7 out of 10. I mean after the bad guys were BOTH shot who turned the corner and continued to drive the truck??? Why did the bad guy in the club nerve Eddie & DeNiro about bullet proof vest? They did not have any on! OK? When DeNiro left the club, he had on one shirt, when he got in the car with Eddie right after, he had on another, FLAW.

Anyhow, I was there for the soundtrack which is done by my favorite Big Yard/MCA artist, SHAGGY. He was ALL over that movie. And Rayvon has a song in it as well.

Resurrection Blvd. (2000–2002)
It is refreshing and unique...

I am glad that Michael DeLorenzo has a lasting role in something he seems to love. The show is refreshing, unique and keeps you wondering 'what next'? What also makes it great to watch is each character has their own ups and downs, they are humans, not just acting parts, in a fun but real way. It started a little sketchy but it is working the kinks out now into the 4th episode. I wish it could last longer then 22 shows because it has promise and it is building it's characters. I hope this does a lot for Michael's ego after leaving NYU, he should be one happy Latino now!! Now if they'll only let him direct some episodes.......

Not too great really...

I had problems with this movie (DVD version), because for example, in one scene, Michael DeLorenzo was suppose to have some kind of accent. As he and his gay partner were doing this 'water scene', his retainer dropped down or something, and you could see it the few minutes he said what he had to say. The accent was so unreal, I cannot believe he allowed them to fake him out like that being a real Latino and all.

It was totally silly and is understandable why it was in 'limited release'. It was not going to fan out well anywhere else. In my opinion the actors/tress talents were not used to the best they could have been. But this is totally my opinion here.

The Wall (1998 TV Movie)
Totally enjoyable...

From the standpoint of someone who has never been in the service, it was refreshing to see a movie like this. How artifacts, memorabilia and more are left daily on that monument, a tribute to those who fought and died, was overwhelming enough. I thought each momento had it's own weight as did each character it represented. The show was developed with each and every character. You saw a glimpse to the whole life of the individuals portrayed.

The use of all the actors was well placed. They were strong and determined but not ALL out popular people. Not Tom Cruise's, no Lawrence Fishburne's, and no Al Pacino's. Just plain not so overly used actors brought together for great outcome. It quite good to utilize these folks as you saw a different persona. Frank Whaley, Michael DeLorenzo, Ruby Dee, Savion Glover all have been around for awhile but finally got some much needed different character change to their already impressive resumes.

Sure a movie is not going to fit all people all the time but I think this one has a winning combination here. You just have to accept it for what it represents. Millions of people in the Armed Service and their families!
