I want to swoon, to my honey I croon love's tune
4 September 1999
I like this film. It was well done with Doris and Gordon in the lead as small time sweet hearts. I watch this every Christmas! It gets me in the mood for ice-skating! I love the songs. The plot involved a small town family and how the children think their father is having an affair with an actress. The father is the same father in Meet Me In St. Louis. JUST WATCH IT!!!

Were here becuz we want our light in neon!!

I love this movie. Judy and Mickey have great musical #'s in this film. I especially love the "how about you" number. The dance is so cute and Mickey and Judy just charm the pants off ya.It is a typical Judy/ Mickey musical but what's wrong with that? :-)

James Garner is sooo hot and Doris shines as usual!
11 August 1999
Despite my not being around when this was released, (I am 14) James Garner is really a dish. I enjoyed this movie a lot. It was done in a way you don't see anymore. James and Doris look so cute together. I really liked the story and am hoping to see the original with Cary Grant/Irene Dunne. I especially have a place in my heart for Doris Day's 60's comedies and I rank this with the best of them. I love the car wash scene...It was so cute. And Doris's and James's jealousies at what they had been doing when they were away, (just the measures they took), just was funny. If you wanna feel good, watch this movie!!!

I liked this tv show A LOT!
11 August 1999
For Alfred Hitchcock's centennial, Encore has been showing old reruns of the Alfred Hitchcock Hour tv show. I really have been enjoying them. Especially seeing Tony Randall and Jayne Mansfield, who co-starred together in Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?, to team up again! I have only seen 4 but I am begging for more.:-)

Vertigo (1958)
A MASTERPIECE
11 August 1999
Hearing different feedback about this movie, (many people are not fond of the ending) I had my doubts. My doubts soon vanished by the first opening scenes. Jimmy's vertigo seems real. I love when he goes on the ladder. "look up, look down," The movie was a Hitch masterpiece and Kim Novak is always good.I like the other blond woman and wondered why her character wasn't developed more. Hitch and his blondes!:-)

This movie will put a spell on you.
11 August 1999
I thought this was a delightful romantic comedy. Jimmy and Kim were great in Vertigo so it was nice to find this movie on A&E.I enjoyed it. Jack was great as Kim's brother. I enjoyed him in this. I had read the play previously and it was cleverly adapted. I love the story personally.Just a light-hearted fare but I am all for it.

A Movie to Remember
11 August 1999
I have been wanting to see this movie ever since Sleepless in Seattle. I am glad I did. I loved this movie especially with a two MAJOR stars in the lead. Cary and Irene make this movie. They make such a cute couple. It has became the epitome of the classic romance movie and for good reason. Even though you have about a box of Kleenex by ya at all times, you still feel better after watching the movie.

This made me a fan of Cyd
11 August 1999
I love this movie. Fred and Cyd made such a team. Especially in Dancing in the Dark * have u seen the saturday night live spinoff* and girl hunt. I enjoyed the whole movie. Never a dull moment. The whole cast was excellent. It is one of my favorite MGM Musicals. I like Shine on My Shoes. You can tell that was directed by Minnelli. If you don't have anythin' to do some night, rent this!!!

Great Musical Numbers
11 August 1999
I enjoyed this film a lot but I was not impressed with the leading lady, Leslie Caron. She and Gene danced well together (in the "Our Love is Here to Stay")but her acting ability was lacking. I know it was her film debut but... I did enjoy Georges Guétary. I sing I'll Build a Stairway to Paradise in the shower. He, Gene, and Oscar made the movie for me. They were a terrific trio. As I said before the musical numbers were great. Minnelli's direction really lead the way. A nice Freed Unit musical.

Rope (1948)
One of Hitch's Best
11 August 1999
I enjoyed this film greatly.Another successful pairing of Jimmy and Hitch. The story itself has the Hitch touch. This was based on a real case that sparked the director's fancy.

The story is simple but it is about reaction. Jimmy's character openly talks about murder being good for certain reasons. One of them being the person has no right to live, that the person is not good enough. The storage of the body where they eat the dinner just makes you want a BIG MAC. LOL!!

Cary, Shirley, and Myrna all in a movie!!!
11 August 1999
I loved this movie but of course, I love anything Cary is in. I thought this movie was a great screwball comedy and just seeing Cary in that wild races(ex.egg race) He is just such a funny man. * I love the dimple in his chin* This is a delightful comedy about a boy-crazy teen played by Shirley who sets her sights on Cary. Who wouldn't? She hides in his apt. and suprises him. Meanwhile, Myrna finds Shirley missing and goes up to Cary's apartment, finds them together, and he is arrested. Well, he punched the DA, so that might account towards it. Then he is sentenced to be her date till she gets tired of him. If I told you anymore it would ruin the movie. Just watch it if you can. It is a treat. I love the dinner scene when everyone leaves Cary alone!

Eleanor and Fred=Movie Magic
11 August 1999
I like this film. Mostly because I like a chance to see Eleanor. Many people talk about how much she grins. I have only seen this movie with her so I am not an expert but i enjoyed her dancing skills -and acting skills. Fred and Eleanor- I love the lunch scene after she sees him dancing with her sheet music. Typical plot but it is worth it for Freddy boy and Eleanor!

JUDY!!!!MICKEY!!!
11 August 1999
I am a huge fan of Judy so this review may be biased. I enjoyed this very much. "I'm Nobody's Baby" was typical early Judy. She and Mickey make a delightful team. They just make me smile when they come on screen. You can tell they had a blast working together. I especially like when Mickey goes out on the town and his shirt stud...I like at the very end of the movie when he looks at his photographs and says, "How one's women do mount up!" Just priceless.
