Passions (1999–2008)
Great Fun!
14 March 2000
As an avid "Sunset Beach" fan, I decided that I wasn't going to watch "Passions" because I didn't want it to cause SB's cancellation. Well I ended up tuning in the first week and I thought it was horrible. The acting was laughable, and absolutely nothing too great was happening. But last September, thanks to good word of mouth, I tuned in again and became hooked. I knew that this show inadvertantly caused SB's cancellation, but I was still hooked on this show. Tabitha and Timmy are a riot! I really like Theresa and hopes she becomes a great bitch. I hate Kay, but it's fun to watch her endless pursuit of Miguel. I am not a fan of Charity and Miguel and think that he should find someone else. Jessica needs a story because I really think she is a great character. Ivy is a awesome character as well. Ethan and Gwen need acting lessons. Sheridan and Luis have definite supercouple status as the Romeo and Juliet of Harmony. All the stories seem interesting, but they do drag on and on. I wish that some of the secrets would come out. It is a lot of fun to watch and I never miss it!

Alright Already (1997–1998)
Unique and Entertaining Comedy
24 October 1999
I never thought that I would ever like a comedy on the WB, but this one proved me wrong. It was so funny! Carol is an optomitrist and Renee is her partner. The show focused on them and Carol's crazy family. Her parents, Al and Miriam live in a retirement home and are exceptionally funny. Jessica, their 20 something daughter moved in with them and seems to have skipped middle aged (She was the best thing about the show); Vaughn, their hippie son, was also a riot. The show kept you laughing and it was a unique idea. It was too bad that the WB canceled it after only one season.

Sunset Beach (1997–1999)
The Best Television Show Ever...
25 September 1999
I am in shock that NBC canceled the best show on television ever. The writers, the actors/actresses, and the producers do not deserve such a slap in the face after three years of absolutely amazing storytelling. Sunset is definitely unique and that is why I love it. The fantasies that make you fall on the floor and laugh your *** off, the powerful scenes that make you cry, the divine overacting (especially by Ms. Down) and many other qualities make this show the best. I can only hope that someone will give the Beach a new home because it deserves better than NBC. Some of my favorite Beach moments: Spike with the pregnancy test, Annie and Meg's first catfight, the whole Kansas storyline (the scene where Ben drove up to Meg's house is unforgettable), Ben's proposal to Meg, Terror Island, Annie stealing Olivia's baby, Bette singing, the shower scene, Ben and Derek's face off, Shockwave, Meg and Ben's wedding and the revelation that Maria is still alive, Gregory as the blackmailer, all the secrets coming out in early 1999, Francesca's murder, Benjy's kidnaping, and the second Annie and Meg catfight. God, how I will miss this show...

Not Given a Chance
25 August 1999
This was by far one of the best-written and best acted shows for teenagers in memory. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Brittany Daniel, and Mira Sorvino all went on to have fabulous careers, and they all did a fine job on this show. SMG blew me away in her scenes where her character Sydney nearly drowned and was in shock. "Nobody helps me! Never!" What a powerful performance (I still believe it was the best scene I have ever seen her do)! It only lasted 13 weeks, not nearly given enough time to build a solid audience plus the timeslots were a little ridiculous. Most of all, the show was somewhat a fantasy, but it was real enough because the characters were going through what normal teenagers go through. The storylines were clever and there was always a surprise on Friday's episode (not many soaps can say that). Too bad the devoted fans will never get to find out how these stories played out. Had this show been given a chance, it might have lasted for years.

A Killer Among Friends (1992 TV Movie)
A disturbing story
25 July 1999
This one of the most disturbing TV Movies I have ever watched. Ellen is a completely disturbing psychopath and you might get scared to watch her. When the truth comes out about Jenny's murder, you aren't going to be shocked about who did it (you know from the second it happens), but you will be shocked about how it was done. A horrible scene to watch was Jenny's death scene. It was a shame because this girl (Jenny) did nothing wrong and these girls' reasons for killing her were complete misunderstandings about what they thought they saw.
