The Quest (1996)
7/10
Good for a late-night movie...
8 July 2000
The Quest, while a typical and predictable movie can be quite entertaining at 3 in the morning after a night out and you can't sleep. A good film if your into plotless films and just pure fighting scenes. Sure, the fighting scenes aren't the best but it is nice to see the various martial arts from around the world. Watch this movie if its on TV, but I wouldn't waste money renting it.

Y2K (1999 TV Movie)
Had potential...
22 November 1999
The main plot of this movie in general had nothing to do with Y2K except it being the cause of the possible nuclear-disaster in Washington. The movie could have easily been renamed and had the Y2K problem taken out and still would have made sense. I'll give the writer credit for a good effort, but the casting was terrible as were the special effects. Definetely a movie for the TV only.

A true classic...
9 October 1999
Great movie, bound to be a cult-classic in years to come. Ranks up there with The Exorcist in horror films. Excellent performance by Bruce Willis, who will be probably nominated for some award. A must see, but not for the faint-hearted type.

Dragon Ball Z (1996–2003)
Not bad, but better to rent it in Japanese
1 October 1999
This is an okay series for everyone to watch, however it only shows a very brief part of the Dragon Ball story. In Canada on YTV the first 20 episodes or so that takes nearly a month to view are available to rent on a single tape as one movie! Other than that, its something good to watch while you snack.

Excellent, if your into that stuff.

First of all a previous user who commented on this movie has a very bad taste in movies. I think this film is an excellent portrayal of Chinese Gangster life. It shows in depth the struggles of Asian mobsters in Hong Kong and how things are dealt with Asian style. The so called fuzzy scenes are typical of Chinese movies. So, in my opinon if your interested in the on goings of Asian Gang Warfare in Hong Kong this is an excellent film. If you're looking for a movie with an actual plot and meaning to it, go watch the Red Violin or something.
