Inspector Gadget (1999)
Must see for Gadget fans and fun lovers everywhere.
This movie was an excellent adaption of the extremely popular cartoon series that I and many others grew up with. Matthew Broderick, as always, did a stunning job and all others cast were perfect for the roles created or adapted for them. Very good movie to take the kids to see, witty dialogue and humor enjoyable by any age group, if you don't laugh at least as hard as the children in the theater, I feel very sorry for you and your sense of humor. Broderick's antics and mannerisms are very like the original character of Inspector Gadget, and provide hilarious entertainment to all ages. Also several surprise guest appearances that can be appreciated by older TV and movie fanatics.
Habitat (1997)
Absolutely the best movie of all time!
This is by far, without a doubt, unquestionably the best movie I have ever seen in my life! Do not listen to anything anyone else tells you, this movie is awesome and I have never been contradicted on this in person. Forget the fact that it is in the sci-fi section of movie stores (well, except that you have to go there to rent/buy it), this movie is a comedy. There is no way the writers of this movie could ever have intended it as anything but a comedy, the sets are outlandish, the special effects must have cost them a (small) handful of dollar bills, and the actors over-do everything to the point of hilarity. Not only is the premise of the movie entirely ridiculous even to the most outlandish of sci-fi writers, it makes statements contradictory to obvious, proven science and even contradicts itself in several scenes. If you haven't had a good laugh in a while and really need one, you are guaranteed to find it in this movie, as long as you don't take it seriously as a sci-fi movie.
Don't Do It (1994)
Oy! Stop the pounding in my head!
Ok, here's the thing. Bear in mind that I rent stupid movies on purpose with the intent to laugh at how stupid they are. This being at least part of the reason I picked this movie up. It has one of my favorite cheese movie actors, a Charlie Sheen look alike (I think anyway) Balthazar Getty. However, this movie is not cheesey in any way at all. That, however, does not mean that it is good. Far from it. If you ever consider renting this movie, be prepared to cry. No, the content of the movie is not sad (the fact that someone made it may be, but the content isn't), but you will cry if you watch this film. I think-- no, I am quite sure-- that I got stupider just from watching this film, if it can be called that in good grace. Well, I think you get the point, take the advice of the title-- Don't Do It!!! It hurts my head just to think about this movie. This has been a public service announcement, thank you.
