Definitely some of the best Sifi I have ever seen. Not sure how they can top this episode and it's just mid season. I agree completely with the previous comment, it would make an epic ending in a movie. I haven't read the books, but the story can certainly go anywhere, lets hope Miller is around for the ride.

I'm sorry but: While the period piece looks great and the plot is fairly twisted and keeps us guessing at what we are possibly missing, which should be entertaining. At the end of the movie we are left with a big why? OK, OK there is obviously the rivalry between the 'bad' twin played by Bale and the clone destroying Angier. And at the end they both lose pretty much everything they cared for coz of caring most for out competing each other. I'm left with scratching my head, if any sane person got his hands on a machine that could clone anything, why would they simply use it to kill their clones. Or if two twins really loved two separate women why would they agree to swap them among themselves for the sake of a useless plot device? Cost of playing a Chung_Ling_Soo like character all their life? I don't think so. Not to mention, what happened to the drunken double of Angier that outsmarted him?
The Colony

I liked the premise small colonies fighting for survival, problems at the nearby colony needs exploring. Instead of developing the story from there the movie just turns to mindless zombie like cannibals 1/3rd into the movie, and just continues to slide down from there. Ending in a ridiculously simplistic way.
Outdoor CGI done well, more contrast with bright environments like the one briefly pictured in the transmission desperately needed, instead movie gets stuck on even more "zombies" crawling through volts and sewers.
Good performances from Fishburne and Zeger, the rest is two dimensional, Viergever does a decent bad guy, if he was given a tiny bit of intellect that would have gone a long way.

One word should sum up this movie: BORING
This movie is just NOT for everyone. Unless everyone now means everyone who does not mind to to watch a couple hours of a small group of man arguing in a closed room in black and white.
Compare a movie like this to something which is enjoyable on every level, has as a great story, possibly a great adventure, that might have a couple laughs in it, maybe visuals, maybe some other pleasant moments, that can move your heart, and make you feel moved after you've watched it.
So the next time someone tells you go watch the angry man it's for EVERYONE, maybe you can learn something from it.
just tell them: it's definitely not for EVERYONE. As great as it might be at what it's trying to do, it's still BORING to me.
Maybe when I'm 100 I can watch it then and enjoy it.

Great comedy show!

One of the other reviews mentioned they laugh at their own jokes, I think this this adds a little bit of a SNL like flavor to the show, as if the other character was not exactly following a script but actually came up with their own lines for the character they are playing.
I realize that this show is not everyone's cup of tea, for instance some of the sex jokes are quite extreme even by today's standards. The show would also alienate many of those with more conservative outlooks on life. But I think if not as mainstream as Friends was, it's a good continuation in a similar format, just target towards a subset of new age young adults to middle aged city dwellers.
I'm shelving this show with the best comedies that were ever created, such as Frasier.
It is still early and they are still doing some adjustments, some of the guest stars are quite terrible, like the half sister and the ex husband. Alex's brother, and Whitney's dad are very well done tho.
I sincerely hope the TV networks are going to be picking up many more episodes for years to come!

See the Pianist Instead

If you have to choose between this movie and the Pianist, please choose the later. By far the greater movie of the two. Although Uprising might not be a totally bad movie (if it was made about a fictional event) It seems to totally miss the point. The helplessness the desperation, the sheer agony of the whole event is turned into some action flick riddled with cheap accusations, while the ordinary Jews are portrayed as a heroic group of commandos that don't miss a shot and can take on the well trained Nazi forces. Sobieski's acting definitely deserves notice, but she should be ashamed! Herself being half Polish she's taking part in falsification of history that not only discredits her people but also creates a false account of what the remaining Jews tried to do... That is die with dignity and honor, revenge the atrocities, with little to no hope of escaping alive. Any serious resistance lasted a few days, with a few random shots being fired for another couple weeks after. The fighters that have managed to escape the total destruction of the ghetto, joined the well planned massive Warsaw Uprising few months later... Which although much bigger and successful at first suffered a similar faith. Being cut off from the outside with Soviet forces standing on the east side of the river and the western allies who's policies it represented restraining themselves to only some air supply drops (only one British soldier fought in the uprising, with thousands of Polish soldiers defending Great Britain and their Capital) the movie makes no mention of the later uprising, one of the biggest in history that was planned for months to overthrow the German occupation. The heroic action scenes would find their place there. But instead of making a movie with the ideology of Masada, you're given this... monstrosity. If you decide to watch this movie try to keep in mind that both uprisings are combined for you into one happy Hollywood package. Both uprisings that seem so similar at a far glance, but with completely different reasoning behind them.

Great acting, nice storyline the feel of Nowhereman... Whoever cancels these shows should be shot.
Instead lets keep the mainstream brainless shows with childish dialog and story lines that can amaze 7 year old (or those who have stopped developing at that age) Better yet lets only do "reality shows"...
Maybe at least now that the Reality Show craze is fading and people are craving something with substance to watch, maybe at least they will release a DVD.
If you're one of the people who want more then just cheap entertainment give this show a try even though it's already dead, it has something to say.

The Matrix

A must see.

This movie is everything it sets out to be, and should be admired for that. It has virtually no flaws in that aspect. The virtual world is fantastic, the acting is great, the story is great, the special effects are just the best ever. You are safe to take your girlfriend to this one she will like it. There is many little details that add to its appeal, especially the explanations to the glitches in our reality and the scenes from classics remade in a virtual setting. Loved the showdown from the old Eastwood westerns.
