Time Travel to a Romantic Era
20 February 2000
This is a nice movie about time travel in the name of romance. Christopher Reeve as Richard Collier, travels from present day 1979 to the year 1912 (the same year the Titanic sunk)- a time when women were feminine and men were gentlemen. Jane Seymour is superb as Elise McKenna, the elusive actress who is the object of his affections. This is a movie for all hopeless romantics who enjoy visiting the past. The costumes are wonderful as is the setting (Great Lake area in Michigan). This is a wonderful movie for a cozy night at home with someone special.

Liar's Moon (1981)

Tragic romance that leaves you in suspense until the end
31 October 1999
This movie is about a tragic romance that resulted because of lies. True love is found despite those lies, but the lies threaten to stop the love of Jack and Jenny. The viewer is hoping for the best and won't know until the very end of the movie. There were two endings made to this movie - one is sad and the other is happy. It all depends on what the doctor does when he comes out at the end. Watch to find out! It is a sweet movie of love and romance that'll leave the viewer in a teary suspense.

Avonlea (1990–1998)
Beautiful settings and Poignant family tales
26 September 1999
Avonlea is a quality show for the family. Set in the Canadian Province of Prince Edward Island (actually filmed in Ontario) this show is based on the characters developed by Lucy Maud Montgomery. The beautiful Canadian scenery inspires you to dream of one day traveling to see this peaceful place. The series is rich with drama, comedy, and delightful characters that you, the viewer, will identify with. (My family surely identified with certain characters: I was like Hetty the spinster schoolteacher, my sister was like Olivia King Dale, and my mom reminded me of Janet King!) The shows will touch your heart...Sarah's new life at Rose Cottage, the romances of Olivia and Jasper, Felicity and Gus, Cecily's TB, Alec and Janet's late arrival! The fine Canadian actors are to be commended for making Avonlea a show to look forward to watching each week! I was sorry to see this fine series come to an end. It was a pleasure to watch.

A Ghost in Monte Carlo (1990 TV Movie)
8/10
A wonderful story of romance, secrets, and suspense!
7 May 1999
"A Ghost in Monte Carlo" has an excellent cast. The storyline is superb and succeeds in drawing the viewer quickly into the story. The setting and costumes add to the richness of the storyline. This fine story, based on the novels of Barbara Cartland, is neatly interwoven with romance, secrets from the past, and suspense with regard to the various storylines linked to the main character of Mistral. This movie is definitely for all "romantics-at-heart!"
