Mission to find the stop button on your VCR and throw this to mars!
10 June 2001
Ok I saw this when this was first out and the first thought I had was "yeah it's ok" BUT then, while watching it I was thinking about the sloppy love scenes and couples on the same program at NASA, errrrhhh... yeah right. This movie ended up annoying me, I mean, What is it with that music???? and all those close up shots of Tim Robbins pulling a smarmy grin in the spacesuit. oh yeah, that computer voice that just seems to get worse with no atmosphere... hmmmmm... Of course this is just MY opinion.

Absolute total waste of money time and just about everything!
21 December 2000
There was Scream, Scream 2, Scream 3.... and there was I Know What You Did Last Summer, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer and on and on and on. This movie is an absolute waste of time if you've seen the movies I've just mentioned you've seen this. Unless you are interested in re-runs or repeats see this. If not, then don't bother!

This is the REAL McCoy
19 December 2000
A fired computer programmer (Bernard Hill) has been hired by a gang of bank robbers to steal confidential computer information from his previous employer. The problem is, the information is encoded. He takes his son along with his payment and runs away but gets stuck when the money runs out. He returns home only to be confronted by his "new" employers. He is forced to decode the information he stole so that the robbers can use it. His son is kept hostage until he has what they want. It gets more involved when the plans change and he has to go along on the robbery to disable the alarm system. This movie is a great heist movie. The video release has been edited so much it doesn't explain important parts in the plot. There is a unedited version out there that shows more details but is usually only shown in full on TV.

This movie was the original for which the 1993 movie The Real McCoy was based on. Only this one is better!

The Fog (1980)

This is one of John Carpenters best!
19 December 2000
A small californian fishing town is celebrating 100 years as a township, only strange killings are happening every time The Fog rolls in. As the story unfolds, the towns sinister origins are slowly being revealed. 100 years ago, Antonio bay was born after the deaths of a nearby leper colony. The townsfolk of present day Antonio Bay better watch out because they're back, and they want revenge! This isn't a cheesy slasher movie like Friday the 13th, it's a ghost story with an agenda.

Nuclear Dynamite!
16 December 2000
A reporter working on a story about the illegal dumping of uranium waste mysteriously goes missing. His wife, naturally worried teams up with a photographer friend. They turn detective and travel half the world following the leads of her husband. While on their travels they virtually uncover the whole story of the illegal dumping and the cover up made by the nuclear industries involved.

This movie has a great story line and a reasonable plot. Although in German, this movie has been dubbed in English and is watchable.

Refreshing fantasy movie
5 December 2000
Ok this movie does reassemble some other well known movies like Short Circuit but it was made on a low budget and the cast was mostly locally sourced from the Detroit area... Therefore if you wasn't aware of that you would think that it was a little know high budget movie. The reason why is because the acting is mostly first class the story is good, it does get a little drawn out in some parts and the vacuum cleaner noises do tend to get a little annoying. Jared Robbins who plays Charlie does have a striking similarity to Jonathan Taylor Thomas apart from being a little taller. Watch this movie if you can... I'm sure you and your family will like it!

Who said this movie was bad.....?
9 November 2000
A lot of people! and so do I. Seeing this movie at first made me think this looks good... infact I think it started good then gradually got worse then it just buried itself. Michael Moriarty (who I'm a fan of) was in his typical horror movie role similar to movies like "The Stuff". The movie dies right after Joe (Moriarty) gave Van Meer (Fuller) the book about who the people of the town were, The Vampires. A lot more could have been put into the plot it was like it was made up as it goes along. I actually purchased this movie simply because Moriarty was in it, absolutely for no other reason.

"seems like the perfect Christmas gift this year"
19 May 2000
My summary is just a quote from this movie. Sure it's a cheezy B movie but hey, all things are not great. This is a kind of movie that would make you think what would you do in that situation? It's full of a few glitches for example... how come the power is still on? and calcium dust isn't orange. It's still a good movie and I like it! You have to be in the mood to watch a 80's movie like this so you can take it in and appreciate it.

Jack Frost (1998)
Slushy
16 May 2000
This movie seems to be the same kind of theme for most movies of this genre. Kid loses one of his parents and is depressed (as to be expected). Then a magical thing happens and his fathers back. They have fun and catch up on things then he leaves. It's been done so many times. Good effort all round though.

Shocking Movie!
19 March 2000
I remember I saw this movie about 5 years ago and recently found a videotape with it on. I watched it and thought, it's still a good movie. The electricity is a good touch turning appliances into killers. It's not really a cheesy movie you would expect by it's tagline but goes on the lines of "what would happen if this was true" of course there is no way scientifically possible for any of this to happen... or is there?!

An amazing movie!
27 November 1999
This movie is truly excellent! It's been a long time since I went to the movies and came out thinking wow! The story is great. The acting is excellent. The twist at the end was just a shocker. I can't really put into words what I feel for this movie... but awesome is no doubt a small word to use.
