Snake Eyes (1998)
Sorry Nick, but this one stinks
28 July 1999
You know, I rented this film truly hoping for a good movie, and I just didn't get what I hoped for. There are alot of things wrong with this movie. First of all, 1. I found Cage's character incredibly annoying, and was actually rooting for him to get the s**t beat out of him. 2. Gary Sinise is such a fine actor, but he just didn't seem to try this time around, he might as well have phoned in his performance. 3. The only person I enjoyed seeing on screen during this movie was the fat security camera guy who was in Dumb and Dumber. That's pretty sad. I was just very disapointed by this one. I figured that with the combination of Nick Cage, Gary Sinise, and Brian De Palma, you have a no lose situation. Boy, was I wrong

Con Air (1997)
Instant Classic!
28 July 1999
As far as "slam bang action" movies go, this one has it all. A top notch cast, great special effects, and even an incredibly good musical score. I personally think that Nick Cage is one of the finest action stars alive today, and I wish he would take on more roles such as this one. Sure, he aint gonna win an oscar for reprising his role as Cameron Poe, but at least he would get to look like a total bad ass with that wicked long hair. Is it just me, or did Cage seem to increase in height a couple of inches for this role? (Now that's method acting!)

I dig this movie, and I'll tell you why
28 July 1999
When I first sat down to watch Meet The Feebles, I didn't quite know what I was getting myself into. My first mistake was the fact that me and my girlfriend got the brilliant idea to cook up some Chicken Chow Mein to eat during the film....BIG MISTAKE! This movie is absolutely tasteless, and sick...and that's what makes it so good. I could not stop laughing at the Heroine addicted frog's flashbacks to "Nam"...funny stuff! This is the kind of movie that you have to see, even if for nothing more than to be able to say that you have seen it. If you can find a copy of this movie, check it out. Although here in the states copies are hard to come by. Have fun searching

Twister (I) (1996)
I will always have fond memories of this movie
27 November 1998
I'll never forget the summer of 1996. I was 14 years old, and all I wanted in the world was to go and see this movie, Twister. I finally got my mother to pony up the money to go and see it at the local cinema. Let me tell you this, I was blown away! (Pun intended) I couldn't believe that special effects could get that good! That was the first of 6 more times I would see Twister in the theatre, and it got better each time! This movie is my Star Wars. I studied it, I memorized it, I loved it! For the next 6 months, all my parents heard was how much I was into weather because of this movie. I read countless books on weather development, and cold fronts, and such. I am totally fascinated by weather, and it's all because of Twister. So critiscize this movie if you want to, but I will never ever forget what a thrilling experience it was the first time I saw this movie on the big screen (and the 5th and 6th time as well!) I have been praying for nearly two and a half years now for a sequel, and maybe someday I'll get my wish!

If you only see one movie ever, this might as well be it
27 November 1998
I can honestly say that this movie is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen! It's not really a horror movie (in my opinion) it's just funny as hell! And by the way, this movie has the best quotes of all time! With such classic lines as "Yo, she-bitch, let's go!" and "Witch: I'll swallow your soul! ASH: Come get some!" what's not to love?

Die Hard (1988)
10/10
Bottom Line: One of the greatest movies ever
27 November 1998
I don't care what anyone says, but this is one of the all time greats. If you really think about it, Bruce Willis has only played 2 decent charecters (in my opinion) One being John Mcclain, and the other being Harry Stamper. Willis plays the lovable loser who doesn't look that tough, but in the end, he just won't die! He ends up kicking supreme ass, and that's why we love him!

Very original and funny movie
20 September 1998
In the 90's there haven't been too many films that are completely original, but here's one! This movie is one of those rare comedies that actually takes the time to set up a plot, and allow time for character development. Richard Dreyfuss is one of the best actors ever, and Jenna Elfman is soooo cute!

Breakdown (I) (1997)
One of the best thrillers of the 90's!
20 September 1998
In my opinion, Breakdown is one of the best thrillers of the 1990's. It has everything, great scenery, great acting, aand a great plot too! This one will keep you guessing for quite a while, and even after you figure out the ending, you'll still be guessing who's gonna come out on top, Kurt Russell, or the bad guys. I highly recommend this movie, if for nothing more than to pay tribute to the late great, J.T. Walsh.

Scream (1996)
Good movie, but it isn't the best horror film ever!
19 September 1998
Scream is a decent movie, but it is nowhere near the caliber of the Evil Dead films, or "Halloween". Scream is more of a comedy than a horror flick, but it does have some scary parts. I will give it this, it was way better than "I know What You Did Last Summer"

A very funny and touching film. A great date movie!
18 September 1998
I just finished watching The Wedding Singer, and I am still laughing! It is easily the funniest romantic comedy ever. However, you won't laugh as hard as you did at Happy Gilmore. I was really impressed my Drew Barrymore in this movie, but the Boy George clone was the scene stealer!

A gory classic!
19 August 1998
As far as zombie films go, they don't get much better than this! George Romero himself couldn't have made this film any better than it already is. Every aspect is perfect. The gory special effects, and event the Punk Rock soundtrack adds to the overall mood of the movie. If you want to be scared out of your wits, this is the film for you!
