The Thief Who Came to Dinner (1973)
Chess plot was silly
In 1973, the best chess programs running on the fastest supercomputers could barely play a passable game of chess, much less challenge a master level player such as the Austin Pendleton character would be (newspaper chess columnist for the Houston Chronicle).
Carnosaur 2 (1995)
The only reason I even rented this piece of garbage...
The only reason I rented this movie was because there was a picture of a hot babe in a skimpy dress on the front of the box - it turned out that she wasn't even in the movie!!! It was terrible!!! "The movie Jurassic Park wanted to be" (or something to that effect) my posterior!!!
Caddyshack II (1988)
Absolutely terrible - don't waste your time - watch paint dry instead.
The movie was bad enough, Dan Aykroyd's imitation of Bill Murray's character was maybe the worst thing I have ever witnessed - I cringed every time he opened his mouth to speak, that nasally whine was worse than fingernails on a blackboard, worse even than Jar-Jar binks.
Whoever was involved in producing this movie should have their union cards taken away - to sully the name of the classic "Caddyshack" with this pathetic sequel is akin to blasphemy.
The Pentagon Wars (1998)
Comedy or horror?
I thoroughly enjoyed this film, especially Kelsey Grammar as the unflappable general - always ready with a quick answer and so sincere you want to believe him, despite the utter absurdity of what he is saying. I am not sure whether to treat this movie as comedy or horror - it would be quite amusing as fiction , but I find it rather terrifying to think that it is based on a true story. Is this really how our tax dollars are wasted? As a former member of the military I find it all too easy to believe.
Il mondo di Yor (1983)
Only thing amusing is Sam's review in At-A-Glance
After the opening credits , I had some hope - it looked SO bad that I thought it might be funny. Absolutely the worst , most cheaply produced film I have ever seen which tried to pass itself off as a serious movie , as opposed to the toxic avenger series, killer tomatoes , et al -though possibly rivaled by The Texas Chainsaw Massacre II. Much better than the film is Sam's review in the At-A-Glance Film Reviews - a must see.
