Alas here is where Matt LeBlanc exits the show.
I think he was dealt a bad hand. Saddled with Chris Evans for his first series (where his role was very much the token gung ho American), and then charged with being the lead with two able but unexciting co-hosts, LeBlanc has carried on with a sense of fun and dignity - especially in the face of hard to please fans and ciritcs bemoaning the change from the so called 'glory' days.
Well done Matt, you gave it a good go.
