Netflix is getting into the "Pokémon" business in a pretty interesting way. The streaming service has debuted the first trailer for a brand new series entitled "Pokémon Concierge" which marks not only the first collaboration between Netflix and The Pokémon Company, but it's also the first stop-motion animated series in the history of the franchise. See what that looks like for yourself in the trailer above.
The trailer is, in a word, adorable. There is absolutely a version of the Pokémon universe that is a little gritty and horrifying. After all, many of these are very dangerous animals. This is the polar opposite of that version, with all of the many familiar creatures just trying to relax and looking rather cuddly. Surprisingly, we've never seen the series take the stop-motion approach before having now seen it, as it looks very natural. The brief logline for the series reads as follows:...

Nearly four years removed from the original, a "Detective Pikachu" sequel is finally moving forward at Warner Bros. Though it does seem like we're going to get a mostly new team behind the camera. As for in front of the camera? More on that in a moment. For now, what we know is that Jonathan Krisel, the co-creator of "Portlandia," is in negotiations to direct the sequel. This news comes courtesy of Deadline, who reveal that Chris Galletta ("The Kings of Summer") is also on board to pen the screenplay. So things seem to be moving along.
Rob Letterman ("Goosebumps") directed the first film, which finally brought the world of "Pokemon" into live-action. Rather than go with an Ash Ketchum-centric story, Warner Bros. opted to adapt the "Detective Pikachu" video game in a bit of a left-of-center move. It's also one that worked, as the film earned generally favorable reviews...

WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar is reportedly considering a lower-tiered HBO Max subscription because most people are “not wealthy.”
“In WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar’s defense, he’s right. At a time when people across the globe are still grappling with the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, entertainment executives are sharing their reads on the larger situation as it impacts consumers’ relationships with their respective companies.”

Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds clearly enjoy each other’s company, with the Deadpool star apparently having replaced Kevin Hart as Johnson’s latest frequent collaborator. The two are set to resume shooting on Netflix blockbuster Red Notice in the near future before re-teaming for a Hobbs & Shaw sequel, along with rumors that the world’s highest-paid actor wants the guy who took second place to put Green Lantern behind him and join the Dceu.
It would also appear that Reynolds has picked up some of Johnson’s famous work ethic, because the 43 year-old gin magnate has been signing on to countless projects over the last few months, and from the looks of things, there isn’t going to be a gap in his schedule for a good few years yet, which could spell bad news for the McU fans waiting patiently for Deadpool 3.

Ryan Reynolds, justifiably or otherwise, once had a reputation for being a Hollywood slacker. However, his days of rom-com fodder are long gone, as this look at his upcoming movies will demonstrate. Comedy fodder perhaps, but no more glorified professional vacations with Sandra Bullock. Stardom comes with a heavy price, you know.
Free Guy is the first of his new movies to be released, making a long-awaited debut on December 11th. The comedy about a video game character who becomes self-aware has suffered a lengthy delay at the hands of the coronavirus and it feels like we’ve been talking about it for a very long time. Fingers crossed it’ll be worth the wait.
Not content to be pigeonholed, Reynolds will also be lending his voice to family-friendly animation The Croods 2, where he’ll reprise the role of caveman Guy from the previous film. That’s out on December 23rd.
