The original game for DOS run at 1.6 internal aspect ratio to be stretched via CRT gun to 1.33 When tracing over the assets for the remaster the artists didn't implement aspect ratio correction so almost all of the assets are stretched horizontally. Meanwhile the assets that were re-created from scratch, like the sprites for humans, are made for 1.77 aspect ratio. And so are most of the AI-upscaled cut-scenes. Therefore it's impossible to run this game in a way for all assets to be in a correct aspect ratio at the same time.
