This show had an interesting trailer and the actual pilot is just kind of interesting. This did not hit home the sci-fi element enough and the pacing did not work for me. We did not need as much of the actual podcast stuff as we got to drive home what the lead character does.

Great Pilot

Coming from someone that hasn't listened to the original podcast (however I think I may after watching this) I thought it was a great pilot for what looks to be a promising show. I really liked how the set up the mystery for the whole show, but they kept you waiting for the majority of the story. I didn't love how the main character treated the other characters, but since it's the first episode, I don't know if that gives me enough to dislike her already.

Facebook's first ever television serial was based on a podcast.

Jessica Biel plays Lia Haddock. A radio reporter who is investigating the unsolved disappearance of almost 300 people in the Limetown neuroscience research facility in Tennessee.

Her uncle Emile (Stanley Tucci) was one of the scientists who disappeared that day.

15 years later. Events around the world has overtaken the mystery. Limetown has been forgotten and it has become a ghost town. Lia gets a new angle to follow.

The first episode was dreary. Too many dull flashbacks and it paints an uninvolving mystery.

Maybe Limetown needed some kind of David Lynch type of inspiration to jump start it.
