- Characters will sometimes be seen in swimsuits and male characters will sometimes be seen shirtless, in their underwear, or with very little clothing. However, these instances are always in a non-sexual context.
- In "Slink or Swim", Abuelo gets his bathing suit pants stuck, and he was shown almost naked. Abuelo says he preferred it that way.
- In "Operation Dad" Tia Frida believes that Tio Carlos has a man-crush.

- In "Going Overboard", Carlos hurt his leg. In addition, Romeo hurts his leg at the end of the episode and it is shown to be painful.
- In some episodes, Sergio, who is a parrot, can be seen eating other bird meat.
- In "Away Game", the Abuelo and Abuela can be seen torturing their pet parrot in many different ways, such as being boiled and put into a burrito, for comedic purposes.
- In "The Horror-Scope", there is a gag where Sergio's beak gets cut off.

- In "Grandparent Trap" the grandparents are shown fighting throughout the episode, and can get quite adult, such as Abuelo saying that Abuela is "nagging", Abuelo saying that Abuela has "control issues" and they call each other "Señora Bossypants" and "Señor Stinky".
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- In "Bad Cluck" Tio Carlos is possessed by a chicken and is holding Sergio.
- In "Monster Cash" Carl can be seen being haunted by El Cucuy, who was his Abuela in costume, due to his bad behavior.
- In "Bad Cluck" Sergio is shown to leave a chicken to die in the hospital.
- In "Grandparent Trap" a talk show audience is cheering on for the Casagrandes grandparents to break up and it seems that they are not happy with each other.
- In "Operation Dad", Ronnie Anne and her friends put on a bad influence act so that Ronnie Anne can make her dad think that she is throwing her life away and her Dad will want to move back to the city to help her.
