Halloween suuurrrfffboaaaarrrdddd

So far the strongest episode of season 4. The show for me is always at it's best when the plots all work together and with the Halloween theme, they do.

It's super fun to watch Garrett being annoyed as hell by the "Halloween surfboard" song! It's great to see Mateo and Amy using woke culture to sabotage all the others in the costume competition, only to have it backfire. And it's hilarious to see Glenn running from the "sentient" cart collector^^. All in all, a really good episode!

Gerrymander

A very clever episode of Superstore from the fourth season. Costume Competition is more than just a costume competition. Costume Competition is more. It's about cultural appropriation, gerrymandering (and this is the punchline at the end), reverse racism, Mario Bros, competition for one day paid leave and you can list it all.

What else, it's a fun episode this one, especially with the supermarket trolleys running amok and chasing Glenn quite hilariously, with a faux Exorcist theme running in the background.

Definitely Costume Competition is worth watching, especially seeing Amy's hilariously awful and politically incorrect impersonation of an Italian playing Mario.

Coconut Bikini and Cultural Appropriation

It is Halloween and Glen announces a one day off with pay as the prize. Amy and the Filipino start going around to rouse cultural appropriation discussions to get ppl with good costumes to have to remove them. Cheyenne wears a Hawaiian coconut bra and grass skirt. Mateo has told Dina that Amy's Mario outfit is offensive to the Italians. Amy asks Marcus since he is Italian and it ends up everyone putting back on their costumes. They have a runway with everyone explaining the culture behind the costume. Jonah tells Amy he cheated for her to get the prize and it was Cheyenne who won by a landslide due to her boob popping out of her bra. You cannot beat that.
