- Quotes
Timothy McGee: Your mom says the twins are already asleep.
Delilah Fielding: [Sarcastically] So that's all it takes- just a little shooting. We should do this everyday.
Nick Torres: Sorry, but McGee, uh, hit the limit of how many people he can shoot in his apartment.
[Torres chuckles]
Delilah Fielding: What is he talking about?
Timothy McGee: I do not know. But I packed your bag here. Ready to go to your mom's.
Delilah Fielding: *What* is he talking about?
Timothy McGee: Not a big deal, all right. but a couple of years ago when you were in Dubai. There was a break-in here in the apartment and uh, I shot someone.
Delilah Fielding: *In* our apartment?
Timothy McGee: Yeah.
Delilah Fielding: And you failed to mention this to me!

This episode is also good if for different reasons.
First off, good writing by long-term show writers. Steven D. Binder, David J. North know the characters well, so they were able to make a good story concerning McGee's past, as well as the present.
The story keeps you guessing as it develops, I do not think you will see the bad guy much ahead of time. And such a good take-down!
They do not list the casting agents, but Charles Tyler Kinder is excellent as 'Young McGee'. You really believe he would grow up to be the Special Agent McGee we now know.
Also good are Sammi-Jack Martincak as 'Young Chloe Crane' and Audrey Moore as 'Chloe Crane'. The casting makes you wonder if McGee has a type, when you look at 'Delilah'.
The only negative is the usual computer B.S.
1) I too still have some computer towers I built years ago. They are currently in storage. I do not know if they would run if I powered them on now, at least not without some special precautions. Across 25 years of not being used, some electronics degrades, in particular the capacitors. Even the coating on the metal would likely discolor.
And why keep the heavy old CRT monitor. Almost any modern LCD monitor could be used, unless perhaps the video card was EGA? (Why EGA, even my XT clone had a VGA card when I was done with it)
I do credit the props guys for finding a system that looked so good, though.
2) The idea that a high-school student would be able to plant a virus remotely on any DoD hardware is unlikely.
Plus that said DoD hardware would still be running after 25 years is even more unlikely. The longest installation that I was involved with ran 10 years before being replaced. It was amazing that most of the hard drives were still working. More amazing that the fans were still running, as they tended to die with bad bearings after 4-5 years. Of course they did have a stack of spare parts.
