While most of this is so far fetched, it was pretty suspenseful. The mission rests on a big tanker ship landing on Mars with all the stuff they will need. But when communications break down, they are left with an escape plan. But a mini-mutiny occurs and Emma is dragged back in. The personal stuff continues and is a distraction. Still this episode is better than most of the others.

The Green family is insufferable. Sure Matt, we didn't send anymore astronauts to space after the Challenger! Sure Lex, tell us more about your teenage angst! So very interesting. 😑 Sure, Emma, keep on alienating your crew and showing zero drive to successfully perform your mission.
At least we have Misha and Lu to keeps things fresh. Lu has an amazing episode. Her backstory taked just the right amount of screentime. And the actress, my god! Such a masterclass. Her tears thinking of the woman she loves. Her speech to Emma.
Loved the InSight idea, though it is a bit farfetched in reality. Hoping it gets better the next two episodes.

So this episode we begin with MORE BACKSTORY. This time, it's about LU. LU when she was BORN. Really???
Then Lex and Matt....Lex says to Matt , I still might end up like you.... Weird. I never worried about my genes when I was young.
So the landing of the Pegasus, which is the Supply Ship is due to land on Mars.
Ruh Roh. All communication with Pegasus was lost after touchdown.
The team has a discussion and figures out that they only have enough water for 8 to 10 weeks after landing on Mars.
Haha, the Chinese representative wants the people to land on Mars and Die, rather than not land on Mars and return home a coward. Wow. Bet the Chinese viewers LOVE this episode.
Everyone is weeping because everyone figures they are going to die! But I am confident!!! Something is going to change!!!
Oh Brother...now Emma is seeing and talking to Matt on the ship...
What is this a Haunted Ship now???

LOL and they want to run a plan to contact the Pegasus thru Ram instead of telling Emma about it.... how stupid....
-1 Star again for avoiding Emma with the Rover code siesmometer plan....
That's just dumb. Why would Emma be resistant to a plan to possibly save the mission??? Does the whole crew think Emma wants to scrub the mission??? That's just pure plot crapola.
Oh here we go, Emma is done with the hallucinatory conversation with Matt. Emma stumbles on the crew making this move on the end around on Emma. I'm certainly not liking Lu. But Emma seems way more tolerant than I would be.
But of course they hear the Sonic Boom they are looking for. Of course they want to keep going. But really there's not any saving this episode. Really really lame..... 3/10

50minutes of cringe

The cringe level of away took it to new highs with episode 8. So dumb yet so hard to watch. Why am I watching this again? I think I need to go do something more constructive with my time. Like watching the grass grow. Curse whoever told me to watch this show. I've been able to get through any movie or tv series, even terrible ones. But I think this show has broken me. It makes me angry in a special way. I'm not even sure how it's doing it. It is truely magical in how awful this show is. Don't think I'll ever to be able to watch something with any of these actors in it again. Well maybe the Russian guy. But not anyone else. Especially not Hillary. I used to like her in that Clint Eastwood movie. She's gone downhill from there. Oh look, the episode is over. I don't have to keep distracting myself by writing this. Catch ya.
