Fever of 103.5
wandernn1-81-6832745 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
So at the beginning of this one...we have a serious crisis happening on the spacecraft as Ram appears to be having some sort of breakdown and trying to open the airlock door. Ram is burning with fever. And who knows what he's seeing to make this happen....

+1 Star generously for crisis averted......

Ram is sick. And he's got a very serious sickness. Ram wants to be jettisoned out the airlock. To which I say good for him. But they are trying to fix him. He's burning up with a 103.5 fever.

Haha, when Matt tells his rehab group that he was happy that he woke up with an erection, that becomes a standing joke. That made me laugh. Stroke victims are happy for whatever they have left. I speak from experience.

+1 Star for Matt's standing joke, which isn't a joke.

Okay then Ram manages to cut his back open in a fall in the ship.

-1 Star because that's just idiotic.

But they save Ram, stitch him up. His fever breaks. Crisis averted. And we end with Emma staring at a sleeping Ram, knowing that she saved his life.

Silliness in space
MegaMaexn14 September 2020
Managed to accept the off the shelf clichés, character shortcomings and space travel inconsistencies of the show so far, but this episode really takes the biscuit. The seamless phone and video calls with Earth (millions of miles apart) continue to annoy me, the outbreak of a virus which Ram's medical records had obviously listed and the nonsensical behaviour by the crew dealing with him (and each other) onboard especially with his contagious infection and blood. It's actually pretty poor storytelling and there are no special effects to redeem this episode in any way...

Wow it keeps getting worse.

Warning: Spoilers
The best Sci Fi shows have drama and sometimes even melodramatic plots... but this? This is a whole different breed of nonsense. Who was the target audience? It's like watching a high school show in space. It's so confusing to the brain... the visuals make you expect some awesome Sci Fi stuff, but nooo, you have a completely dysfunctional crew going to the first mission on Mars and the show focuses on everything except for the awesome premise of a mission to Mars. 4 episodes in and there is like no science at all. The conflicts in this show are unrealistic and make the blood boil with just how stupid they are.

So much lost potential. They should try this again.

What the god's honest is this??

The heck are those masks they're wearing that just drape over their faces? They're like covid deniers, just in space

Ram fell and cut himself so bad over his...scapula?...that he's "bleeding out"??

Lu rushes in with "a disinfectant to stop the bleeding!" She dashes it over him, then Emma holds a towel on the wound for, what, two seconds before declaring that she can't stop the bleeding, but somehow the Russian guy happens to have a surgical skin stapler in his cabin which he uses to...stop bleeding that was so life-threatening it was going to kill Ram?

Of course, all this starts because Ram has some weird reactivation mono that renders him more toxic to the rest of the crew than if he had ebola.

I have NO idea who their medical consult was, but he / she needs to be fired.

Disaster of the day!
trajanrome24 September 2020
This show is less about a Journey to Mars and more about everything that can possibly go wrong in the worst possible circumstances to any group of people this size. No aliens popping out YET but the writers of this series seem to create and Apollo 13 type disaster twice and episode if not more plus melodrama that reeks of daytime TV.
