Earlier this week, it was reported that Taylor Sheridan’s new Yellowstone spin-off is currently undergoing negotiations that could keep some of the popular stars from the original series from reprising their roles. However, all the behind-the-scenes drama will not deter the hitmaker from concentrating on his future projects. It was announced this week that Landman, Sheridan’s new show that he created along with Christian Wallace, has started production. The series is headlined by Billy Bob Thornton, but The Hollywood Reporter has now revealed that Demi Moore is set to join the cast.
Demi Moore is currently starring in the new FX drama, Feud: Capote vs The Swans. She will be continuing her TV run in Landman as Cami, the “wife to one of the most powerful oil men in Texas and a friend of Tommy Norris (Thornton).” The official description for the series reads, “Set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas,...

Taylor Sheridan’s next drama, about big oil rigs in Texas, is now filming. It’s called Landman, and Billy Bob Thornton’s going to star.
Whether he’s writing, directing, acting, producing or most of those at once, Taylor Sheridan is an indescribably busy person at the moment. Not only is he in the process of completing the fifth and final season of Yellowstone, but work is also getting underway on another gritty-sounding none-more-American TV show. Called Landman, it’ll be set in present-day West Texas, and is all about the oil business – so a bit like a less kitsch Dallas, perhaps.
With filming now underway on location in The Lone Star State, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Billy Bob Thornton has taken on a starring role in the drama. Along with his appointment comes an official description, which reads as follows:

Just as Yellowstone will end with the hit drama’s fifth season, Taylor Sheridan is teaming up with Billy Bob Thornton for Landman, an original drama series created by Sheridan and Christian Wallace. Paramount+ announced today that production for Landman is officially underway with a new photo from the set.
In the image, you can see a Landman-branded clapper resting against a wall of rusted barrels. It’s a simple photo with rustic vibes to match Sheridan’s signature entertainment brand. Production is happening in Fort Worth, Texas, with MTV Entertainment Studios producing alongside 101 Studios and Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions exclusively for Paramount+.
