It's a movie that its main cause is to get you excited. You know, by its name, what will be the end and it is kind of short - one hour and fifteen minutes, but it is a journey that feels like a three hours movie.
The story is very simple and the plot is simple also, accordingly. Kenneth Chamberlain is and old man, with heart problems, that his life aid neckless is accidently triggered. The health company sends police officers to check on him and from there on all that can get wrong gets wrong.
He had personality issues and condition but the police officers wanted to write something in their report so they've tried to made him open his door and when that didn't happen, they used force and you know... police officers and Afro-Americans don't blend good for several years.
The narrative stands with Kenneth side of the story and the police officers are demonized, probably for a good reason, but you know which side are you on, from the middle of the movie.
Despite the fact the end is well known, David Midell successfully maters the drama in this film and Harness the viewers to take a side and want to tell an important story that takes out the American police very bad and poor.
The shock effect from this film is absolutely resonating and it is a movie you will not be able to forget very soon. Its effectiveness and its true story it is telling are the strong sides of it and the fact it maintains the tense for all its runtime, though you know what is the end of it are the true triumphs of this important movie.
