It really was a Magic Hour pilot. It has all the good elements that make a great Drama/Mystery show. A gripping story, a troublesome past waiting to be discovered again (properly this time) and a very curious mind trying to figure out the truth.
The acting is brilliant (child actors are good too, that is usually rare). You can tell that the show is going to be a bit emotional.
Already loving the soundtrack. Hope there's more good music.

Warning: Spoilers
This is similar to another Apple show that launched a few months ago, but much stronger.
A really good pilot here that almost melded British murder mysteries with Stranger Things. They picked a strong young actress for the lead role and have a well-written story that I hope continues to entertain all ten episodes.

I really like the concept behind this series. A little bit far fetched at times as far as what a nine or 10 year old girl is capable of and how her mind might work. But still entertaining. The plot line is engaging so I was never bored. And, for crying out loud, it didn't have the f-word one time! That's amazing! Apple (as well as most other producers these days) has the wrong idea that generously sprinkling the f-word throughout their tv shows and movies makes them better somehow. Wrong. It adds nothing and, indeed, distracts and detracts. It is so refreshing to see a program worth watching that I can actually stand to finish because the dialogue is not garbage. Apple, use this as a model in the future.
Go Hilde!!!!!
