The airplane the characters crash is a Short SC.7 Skyvan, fondly called The Flying Shoebox. Most often used for skydiving and short-run cargo flights, due to ease of loading of it's wide-open rear-end. Models sold to the Argentinian military were used to execute dissidents during their secret war by throwing them out the back.
First appearance of Matt Frewer as Logan.
In the opening scene when Dylan is learning to shoot a rifle, his head position is completely wrong as his head should be more vertical than horizontal to form a proper sight picture. Additionally, while shooting right-handed, he repeatedly closes his right eye to aim with his left. This places his left-eye (aiming eye) 2-3 inches above the rear sight making it near impossible for him to develop a proper "sight picture" and shoot accurately. It's not uncommon for a right-handed person to be left-eye dominant, but using a "cross-dominant" shooting style is never preferred and always challenging. For this reason, most Army Drill Sergeants will teach a cross dominant trainee to to shoot with their non-dominant hand even though they initially feel uncomfortable using their off-hand. Shooters adapt surprisingly well and quickly to using a hand they don't prefer and learning to shoot with the non-dominant hand produces a better rifleman than allowing a new soldier to shoot cross-dominantly.
Bailey Gavulic first part in a recurring role.
