A nice video to a lovely romantic ballad

Cutting Crew fans be like "I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight" all the way as their best song, but down here is a virtually unkwnown song thanks to this one, "I've Been in Love Before" being played on a hit TV series. So it's quite obvious that I'm more inclined in writing here than there, and because it's a perfect power ballad of theirs. The video is fine with its nice desertic location where the group play from day to night; the exotic woman on the horse; Nick Van Eede's killer looks and great performance of the song; and the music which always makes me come back and remember good times in life, or just dream away.

And they got away with murder with this video without causing any controversy that could be made with the woman in the clip - if not in 1987, imagine now. She wears a niqab (not to be confused with a burka since she revals a lot with her face in between shots); rides a horse and in some key moments the look in her eyes dislay her as a seductive woman. At no point she appears with the group or with Nick but with the song and many shots of the leading man we are inclined to imagine their love for each other, a Western dream of the impossible (or really difficult to achieve) with the cultural differences. It's just an idea that crosses my mind whenever I watch it; the harmony between dream-like visions and the memorable melody makes it a different experience to see, feel and hear. 8/10
