- A teenage boy and girl lie down on a bed together.

- Guns are used to threaten and shoot. Brief bloody wounds are shown after a house attack.
- Arguing/slapping/kicked in the face and chest and fist fights are presented.
- Real archive footage of civil unrest in Jamaica, such as undetailed shoot outs, blown-out cars and clashes between police and civilians.
- A toe bleeding as a result of a cancer diagnosis can be seen.
Profanity

- Infrequent language includes one or two of each - "Christ", "damn", "hell".
- A few uses of jamaican swear words (Bloodclat, Rassclat.) although all swears are spaced out alot, and its not really that severe. Given the length of the movie.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Pot smoking is shown in a very casual way. And characters drink beer and champagne.
- Cannabis is used more for spiritual reasons than to get high.

Violence & Gore
- There is a scene where Bob gets really angry at one of his managers, and then proceeds to punch him to the floor, and repeatedly kick him in the stomach.
- In the first ten minutes, or so of the film, Bob and his friend are both shot by intruders.
- In one scene after a live performance, Bob goes to his associate "Don Taylor" and has an argument. Then Bob smashes his drink against a wall as a threat which scares Don and then Bob slaps him to the floor and kicks him a numerous amount of times. After Bob attacks him, Don gets angry and mentions he took "six bullets" for Bob. Then Bob attempts to get a chair and attack him, but his crew and wife stop the attack to escalate further.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- In a scene, two men break into the house of Bob Marley, and shoot him. Although some slight blood is shown, everyone survives. It can be quite intense and frightening to some viewers.
