This season is now getting little better and growing more on suspicions, good deeds of Bryce Walker has showed and Tony Padilla's family matters and other stuff, wanna say this is quite best episode of this season so far.

Shades of Orange is the New Black

Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed the twist regarding a piece of Tony's Heart in Arizona (that was good). What I am guessing is that every Netflix Original will show the perils of coming to the USA illegally, the entire S7E5 of OITNB was basically a PSA to NOT do this, how dangerous, heart wrenching and damaging it can be to the people doing this. This episode isn't as hardcore about it, but it does point out who it actually harms in the end.

I also noticed Alex and Piper on the cover a magizine about 4.5mins from the end of this episode. Nice Touch, Netflix.

The best episode of this season (so far)...
Wililjam2 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I'll start with the bad, as I've done with most reviews of this season already.

There were some inconsistencies with the character development of Bryce's mother. Sometimes Bryce's mother hates him and all that he is, and sometimes she loves him for all that he is. I think the writing is so distorted that it doesn't know where it is in the timeline, and as a viewer I was kind of confused as to why some characters are so back and forth.

Even though I hated Bryce, the protest at the funeral was disgusting and took out of the moment at the funeral, so I guess the protest was a success in that regard. It failed in every other way however. It wasn't powerful, it wasn't a good call-out of the rape culture, it was like the Westboro Baptist Church came to town.

The Tony stuff was heartbreaking, and the best thing about this episode. It's been one the characters with the most layers in this show, consistent and amazing. The whole thing with his sister looking into the glass door seeing their whole family brought tears to my eyes. The last scene with Clay and his family were touching as well. This episode felt balanced with all the characters, I didn't feel like one character took up time that another character needed. I still dislike the fact that Ani is the voice-over, I still don't get why she's in this show.

What About Mr. Walker??????

+1 Star For Jake Weber doing such a great job here. Really have enjoyed his career and his performance as Bryce's dad is great.

Overall this seemed like a pretty uneventful episode. It advanced the story but not very much.

Bryce's Funeral
ZegMaarJus8 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This Episode begins with Tony, he has been brought to the police station. Bryce his funeral takes place today, many students of Liberty High School are attending. Barry became drunk before Bryce his funeral, he is his father. Zach and Nora are giving an emotional speech during Bryce his funeral. A protest starts at Bryce his funeral, girls are calling him a rapist. Clay gives Tony a hug, he says that he loves him. Solid Episode of 13 Reasons Why Season 3, this was just okay. Nothing more than that. Hoping for some good Episodes this thirth Season. Clay is one of the main suspects in Bryce his murder case!

mature and real.
FrankHonest24 August 2019
I've been very critical of this season so far, but this episode redeemed the show for me. Very mature exploration of the complexity and nuance of human relations, guilt, forgiveness and character. People are complicated. Bad guys are not 100% evil and good guys not 100% pure. Wasn't sure where this season was going with Bryce's sob story until now. But it all came together well here. The last season told the victims reality, this season tells the other side. The human side of a guilty man. Guilty, but still human. Conflicted feelings and confusing thoughts are all well explored, so well that the protests genuinely shock you, demonstrating the failure of binary-absolutism to accomodate the human experience. I was just ready to give up on this show, now I will keep watching.

You Can Tell the Heart of a Man by How He Grieves (#3.6)

Warning: Spoilers
I wonder if every episode with a Spanish speaking character will now have them have an ICE story. Yeah yeah, Netflix. We know it. Deporting illegals is very bad. But I will let it slide. At least because it was dealt with very well. We just see Tony dealing with this situation and it was done in a great way. No matter if legal or not these are his family and the situation is both devastating to him and hard to deal with especially at such age. I also loved Bryce's funeral. Those nasty activists trying to ruin it. And his mom remembering what a good man he was about to become. Beautiful. In addition to it they really touched it well how no matter what he did his friends love him. This was from Justin's conversation with Jessica. HE couldn't even fight against but love the friend who died. And his words at the funeral. "No, it is the guy who was nice to you who is dead". Perfect. Amazing how well it changed from the first few episodes.

ICE?!
gani04019 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
WTF does illegal immigration have to do with this season or this show, as a whole? Clay wants to know why none of his friends ate coming to him for advice. Because he's attached to the hip of that annoying new character.
