Burning Bright

The last few episodes have been building up intensity like water in a clogged sink, to the point where it just spills over, in abundance. I feel Ray Donovan is similar to a super-giant star on its last step before forming a supernova, ultimately ceasing its existence, leaving profound darkness in its wake. This episode has progressed both the characters and the story in quiet a brutal manner, all while the show still keeps some of the old one-word Ray we know and like. Seeing the family get over their differences and come together for a united goal, a purpose to be achieved, was an expected yet very nice outcome. Looking forward to the next episode, wondering how Ray will deal with the friend who has been forced to become an enemy.

Running out of superlatives to describe this season, the acting is superb and the storyline has you on the edge of your seat .

The most intense episode in last few seasons

Greetings from Lithuania.

"Baby" was definitely the most intense episode in a last few seasons. 44 min. ran like a second, and i was on the edge of my seat during that time. I won't spoil anything, but the ending left wanting for more.

This is a great season and with only two episodes left - i can not wait to watch them.

Warning: Spoilers
About time Bridget got her mouth taped shut! Thank the writers who finally wrote a part of the story that should have been done before. Bridget had been a liability this entire series and now I am happy she has been kidnapped and her mouth taped shut!!! Don't let her out! Don't release her!

The return of good TV is still holding this season
silverton-3795917 December 2023
Last season was so lame, lame writing, poor direction, and a storyline that had fallen down the stairs, that I gave up on Ray Donovan. The last few episodes hinted that there might still be something there, and then came this season's opener.

Season 6 is a return to the interesting plot, better direction and the addition of Domenick Lombardozzi to the cast. There are still plot holes, some bad dialog and the need for suspension of disbelief, but the overall effect is good. Domenick Lombardozzi's performance in this episode is pretty close to some of his better work, not as good as he was in "Blood Ties", but close.

I've been liking this season so far.
