Certainly bold and dramatic.
Sleepin_Dragon9 July 2019
Another truly excellent episode, which was intriguing, dramatic, and dare I say it a little far fetched, with all manner of crazy events going on, with the main players all taking crazy risks.

It is definitely big and bold, and exciting enough to keep you gripped, but it's the scary side of Africa that is making it so watchable.

Olafur Darri Ólafsson was the standout in this episode, and has been brilliant throughout.

The Sign of the "V"
lavatch9 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The sign of the "V" typically stands for "victory." But in this episode, it stands for the little baby girl that Will and Georgia lost in a crib death. Georgia later slashed her wrist out of grief, and Will keeps his sanity by doodling the letter "V." That letter will be an important clue for Georgia as she continues to search for her husband in the heart of darkness in the forests of the Congo.

To her cohorts on the medical team, who believe she is a reporter, Georgia reveals her background as a military captain in the artillery after she shoots an assailant on the dangerous drive to Kismia. The political backdrop is that of the Mai-Mai, who are defending Rwanda from the military insurgents.

Pieter Bello is becoming more and more like the Kurtz character in Conrad's "Heart of Darkness." After killing the man who had been running the local mine, Bello now takes over the mine to run on his own. With the aid of his personal paramilitary unit, Bello orders the death of Georgia when he is tipped off by Louise that Georgia is in Kismia seeking Will.

In Rotterdam, Georgia's father has confronted the pious Ariel, who, guilt-ridden from having concealed the truth about his survival of the plane crash, offers to travel with Benson to Kinchasa. Ariel can recall the voice of the general who had coerced Emmanuel's wife into carrying the bomb onto the plane.

Georgia had played Pieter perfectly, as she purposefully sent Louise to Pieter, and his bodyguards left to seek Georgia. Now, Georgia surprises Pieter in his shack and discovers to her shock that one of the small rooms is filled with the writing of the letter "V" on the walls. The horror! The horror! "What have you done with my husband?" she asks Pieter.
