Reflections with Talia Shire and Mike Lobell (2017)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
This forty-minute featurette has actress Talia Shire and producer Mike Lobell talking about their 1980 film WINDOWS. That film wasn't the most popular movie ever made and it was released to some controversy before it eventually faded away. This conversational piece has the two of them sitting down together and discussing some great details about the making of the movie. Lobell starts off talking about how he got involved with the project and the screenwriter. From here we learn about the casting, the decision to get Gordon Willis to not only direct but shoot the picture and there's also some great talk about the various production issues. There's some really good stuff discussed here and especially the details on the various issues Willis had. This would turn out to be the only film that he would direct and after hearing the discussion here you get a pretty good idea why. If you're a fan of the film then you'll enjoy all of these behind-the-scenes stories including some things that were changed in the screenplay before the film went into production.
