A total turnaround.

The mystery deepens, those that seemed moat likely turn out not to be, and those on the fringes are now at the centre.

From previous episode reviews, it's fair to say I really wasn't enjoying this second series, but this episode may just be the turning point, this was excellent, it focussed more on the story, and it was very, very good.

The performances have been top notch throughout, here Nigel Planer and Keith Allen were on top form, Keith Allen plays the part of a villain incredibly well, I was reminded of his wonderful appearance in Morse.

I was going to give up on this series, but this has won me over, very good indeed, 8/10.

Episode 205

I was not really sold on this second series for awhile, but this episode brought me back in.

The "anyone could get it next" vibe they have created is working.

Speeding up

A better episode as the story finally picks up pace with Marcella getting memories back from her blackouts and clues start to appear. Such a shame this couldn't be as quick throughout the series. Encouraging to keep watching.

The Son and the Secret

Marcella continues her downward spiral, watching her ex-husband turn her children against her. Her hypnosis reveals that she may have done something terrible. Her husband is about to take the family away, leaving her with nothing. Her erratic behavior is jeopardizing her credibility and potentially her career. She also realizes that her son has some connection with the death of a by named Leo who is one of the first victims.
