- Oliver Queen: Barry, there's something I'd like to discuss before we go.
- Barry Allen: What's that?
- Oliver Queen: That you probably shouldn't go.
- Barry Allen: What?
- Oliver Queen: Oliver Queen is a public figure and an infamous vigilante. If you are in Gotham City, you're attracting the type of attention that we don't want.
- Barry Allen: No. If Gotham can handle the Batman, it can handle the Green Arrow.
- Oliver Queen: The Batman's an urban legend.
- Barry Allen: Wait. You don't believe Batman's real?
- Oliver Queen: He's an urban legend concocted by the Gotham police department to scare criminals. I'm the original vigilante, Barry!
- [Barry laughs]
- Kara Danvers: Okay, if you guys are done fooling around...
- Barry Allen: Actually, you know what? Could you pull that thing up? Because, unlike you, my identity's not public, and I'd like to keep it that way.
- Oliver Queen: This isn't your real face!
- Barry Allen: It might end up being my real face if we don't sort this mess out, so could you?
- [Oliver lets out a frustrated sigh, but pulls the Flash mask over his face]
- Oliver Queen: Happy?
- Barry Allen: Ecstatic.
- Kara Danvers: Apparently, you guys aren't done fooling around.
- [speeds off with Barry]
- Oliver Queen: Well, I guess I'm running alone.
- [speeds off after them]
- John Diggle: Son of a bitch!
- Supergirl: Is that any way to greet your friends?
- John Diggle: All I know is that whenever the three of you show up, it usually means we have one huge problem
- John Diggle: So... you're you.
- Curtis Holt: And you're you.
- John Diggle: An immortal Egyptian, aliens, parallel earth Nazis... I have no idea why I'm even surprised at this point.
- Curtis Holt: I'm still trying to figure out if this is more like "Freaky Friday" or "Quantum Leap."
- Barry Allen: No. If this were like "Quantum Leap," I'd only look like myself in the mirror.
- Curtis Holt: Yep. You're definitely not Oliver Queen.
- Kate Kane: Oliver Queen.
- Oliver Queen: Ahem.
- Barry Allen: Yeah, yeah. I'm Oliver Queen. Yeah. And you are?
- Kate Kane: The rain on your parade. If you're visiting Gotham to compare grappling hooks with Batman, you're out of luck. No one's seen him in years.
- Barry Allen: [to Oliver] Told you.
- Oliver Queen: Myth.
- Felicity Smoak: Pattern recognition algo is locked and loaded.
- Curtis Holt: Bringing it online now.
- Felicity Smoak: You realize that this may not work, right? Like, there may not be a pattern to recognize.
- Curtis Holt: Is there a suggestion bound within that dose of pessimism?
- Felicity Smoak: Does the energy discharge of the lightning look familiar to you?
- Curtis Holt: The quantum amplitude is consistent with a dimensional breach.
- Felicity Smoak: Exactly. We're gonna need Cisco's help on this one.
- Cisco Ramon: [enters with Diggle and Caitlin] I've been summoned!
- Curtis Holt: Okay, that was a disturbingly coincidental entrance.
- Oliver Queen: I lifted this off of a computer at the precinct. It should have the entire GCPD database.
- Barry Allen: You stole data from the police?
- Oliver Queen: No. The Flash did it.
- [Kara snickers]
- Barry Allen: It's not funny.
- Kara Danvers: I'm not laughing.
- Batwoman: I don't do tearful goodbyes.
- Supergirl: No, I... I just wanted to wish you luck. Wherever your cousin is, I'm sure he's really proud of you.
- [Batwoman is surprised]
- Supergirl: X-ray vision. You really do have a lot of tattoos.
- Batwoman: And somehow, I feel like Kara Danvers doesn't have a single one.
- Supergirl: You know, it's such a shame I have to go, because I feel like we would make a good team.
- Batwoman: World's finest.
- Barry Allen: No, if - if Gotham can handle the Batman, they can handle the Green Arrow.
- Oliver Queen: But the Batman's an urban legend.
- Barry Allen: Wait. You don't believe Batman's real?
- Oliver Queen: He's not real! He's an urban legend concocted by the Gotham Police Department to scare criminals and I'm the *original* vigilante, Barry!.
- Barry Allen: We both saw some stuff back at Arkham.
- Oliver Queen: I saw Evil Flash.
- Barry Allen: Eobard Thawne. I saw Malcolm Merlyn. I knew you'd been through a lot, but... I don't know, man, I never realized. I don't know how you do it. I wouldn't be able to live with the burdens you carry.
- Oliver Queen: Yes, you would. Barry, I always thought you had it easy. Everything was just sunshine and rainbows and everybody likes you. You have real steel in you, my friend. You can carry any burden thrown your way.
- Barry Allen: Some unsolicited advice?
- Oliver Queen: Hm.
- Barry Allen: Don't wait to work things out with Felicity. In our line of work, you never know how much time you got.
- Oliver Queen: May I speak with Felicity for a minute?
- Cisco Ramon: Sure thing, Barry. Oliver. Boliver.
- Caitlin Snow: Stop helping.
- Felicity Smoak: I've been summoned.
- Barry Allen: Yes, thank you for coming.
- Felicity Smoak: Of course. Things might be fraught between us, Oliver. That doesn't mean I'm not gonna show up.
- Barry Allen: They are?
- [looks at Oliver]
- Barry Allen: They are?
- [Oliver nods]
- Barry Allen: They are, yeah. Which is... sad.
- Kara Danvers: All right. So how do we find two people in a city of one point six billion?
- Barry Allen: There is a radio personality named Vesper Fairchild. She knows everyone in Gotham, and I know her. She was doing an exposé on white collar crime back in the day, and I wanted to persuade her that Queen Consolidated was above board.
- Oliver Queen: So you slept with her, right?
- Barry Allen: No! I... I don't know.
- Kara Danvers: Gosh. You really got around back in the day, didn't you?
- Barry Allen: Oh, one time, Oliver cheated on his girlfriend with her sister.
- Oliver Queen: Barry!
- Kara Danvers: Oh no! Ohh!
- Barry Allen: You did!
- John Diggle: This thing isn't gonna be permanent, is it?
- Oliver Queen, Barry Allen: I hope not.
- Barry Allen: Jinx.
- Barry Allen: Guys, take a look at this.
- [he unveils the Bat-Signal]
- Barry Allen: You still think he's a myth?
- Oliver Queen: Yeah! Let's go.
- Barry Allen: [to himself] Batman's real.
- Oliver Queen: What were you thinking?
- Barry Allen: That you were about to get yourself shot. You're welcome.
- Oliver Queen: I was de-escalating the situation! You know, like, um...
- Barry Allen: What, like I would?
- Oliver Queen: Uh-huh.
- Barry Allen: Guess what, man? I handled it exactly how you would!
- Kara Danvers: Okay, you guys, maybe taking on each other's personalities worked for Amazo, but... you were not gonna talk your way out of getting mugged, and you escalated the situation way too fast.
- Barry Allen: So what would you have done?
- Kara Danvers: What I would have done is super-sped us right out of there. All they would have seen is a gust of wind.
- Oliver Queen: I mean, hindsight's 20/20. But we'll follow your lead next time.
- Kara Danvers: [sarcastic] Because there will really be a "next time" when someone threatens three superheroes with a gun.
- Kate Kane: [on the roof of Wayne Enterprises] Okay, the building is under renovation, so this is the best place you guys can work out of. Oh, and the, um, WiFi password's "Alfred".
- Caitlin Snow: Those lightning strikes, they were a Flash from another dimension trying to breach to us.
- Cisco Ramon: We think it was Jay Garrick. Or... a Jay Garrick. He said to fix the situation, we have to "get the book."
- Kara Danvers: John Deegan was reading a book in the drawing Oliver drew.
- Oliver Queen: Okay. So we find the book in there, or we find Deegan and we make him tell us where it is.
- Barry Allen: Wait, wait, wait. Hold on. A-Another Flash from a parallel universe just lightnings in, tells us to jump, and we ask "How high"?
- John Diggle: If we wanna sort this thing out, then yes.
- Oliver Queen: I have no idea how we're gonna break into a mental asylum.
- Kara Danvers: I have some ideas.
- Oliver Queen: This must be strange for you.
- Felicity Smoak: [sarcastic] Oh. What gave you that idea?
- Oliver Queen: I don't know. Maybe it's easier for you to hear this coming from... Barry Allen.
- Felicity Smoak: Hear what?
- Oliver Queen: That we're gonna be okay. People change, Felicity. It means we're growing. It means we're evolving, except for one thing, one thing that will not change... is how I feel about you. Love is too small a word, and no matter who you are or... or what you become, no matter who I am or-or what I become... you will always be... you will always be the love of my life. People change. That never will.
- Oliver Queen: If I remember right, the radio station was this way.
- Barry Allen: I'm surprised they put it in the bad part of town.
- Kara Danvers: It's cute how you think there's a good part of town.
- Cisco Ramon: Who's this badass?
- Elseworlds Green Arrow: That's... not Batman.
- Batwoman: Kate Kane told you get out of Gotham. You should have listened to her.
- Elseworlds Green Arrow: Mar Novu, you're gonna stand down.
- Elseworlds Flash: You're gonna use that book to help us set reality right.
- The Monitor: Well, I certainly wouldn't have placed it on Deegan's hands if that weren't my intent.
- The Flash: Enough. You will not do to this Earth what you did to mine.
- The Monitor: I admire your persistence, Barry.
- [the Flash charges at Novu, but Novu opens a portal and The Flash runs into it]
- Elseworlds Flash: He said you were testing us.
- The Monitor: And, thus far, I'm unimpressed. A crisis is imminent. Someone is coming, someone far, far more powerful than myself. I mean to prepare.
- Elseworlds Green Arrow: By giving a nut bar an all-powerful reality-rewriting book?
- The Monitor: I'm testing universes to find one. I hope stand strong enough against him.
- Elseworlds Flash: You're causing chaos, and you're blaming everyone else!
- The Monitor: In the hopes of finding the champions that would save the multiverse entire. You are the first of those I've placed under fire who have managed to retrieve the Book of Destiny...
- [retrieves the Book from A.R.G.U.S. HQ via a portal]
- The Monitor: ... for all the good it did you.
- Caitlin Snow: As for Oliver keeping you in the dark, when he and Barry tried to tell us what was going on with them - we knocked them unconscious and locked them in the pipeline.
- Felicity Smoak: Seriously?
- Caitlin Snow: Wasn't our finest moment. Look, I'm sure *that's* the reason Oliver didn't want to take a chance with you.
- John Diggle: Kane Wolfman, you're under arrest for 19 violations of international law!
- Kane Wolfman: Really? Does that include the murder of...
- [counts the agents]
- Kane Wolfman: ... four A.R.G.U.S. field agents?
- Kara Danvers: How did it go with Vesper?
- Barry Allen: She hung up on me. Apparently, I did sleep with her.
- Kara Danvers: [to Oliver] Hm.
- Curtis Holt: I know this sounds nuts and completely unscientific, but I think that freaking lightning is following us.
- John Diggle: Focus, Curtis.
- Curtis Holt: This is me focusing. These atmospheric anomalies are playing all kinds of hell on my equipment. Plus, you don't want that lightning to hit when you're engaging Deathstroke's son.
- [the agents are knocked back by a lightning strike; as the smoke settles, Kane Wolfman stands before them]
- Curtis Holt: I just had to say it.
- Supergirl: We think that the red skies and these lightning strikes have to be related to whatever happened to Barry and Oliver somehow.
- Oliver Queen: We need you to solve the "somehow" while we're in Gotham.
- Curtis Holt: No problem. I mean, A.R.G.U.S. has all the best analytic toys, but what we really need is a pattern recognition algorithm, and unfortunately, Felicity isn't...
- Oliver Queen: I called Felicity.
- John Diggle: Wait, wait. You called Felicity?
- Oliver Queen: Yeah.
- John Diggle: Okay. Right. Well, I guess that makes sense because technically, you are her husband. I'm confused.
- John Diggle: So, why didn't you tell Felicity?
- Barry Allen: Well, because we tried to tell everybody at S.T.A.R. Labs, and it didn't really go over so well.
- Oliver Queen: Felicity and I have enough problems as it is without introducing body swapping.
- Barry Allen: So this is Gotham. Doesn't look so tough to me.
- Supergirl: Where's Oliver?
- Barry Allen: Huh. I don't know.
- Supergirl: [a red streak flies past] Whoa! Guess he's still getting the hang of it.
- [Oliver returns]
- Oliver Queen: [indignantly, as Barry laughs] I'm still getting the hang of it.
- Cisco Ramon: We've been getting the same red skies and freaky lightning in Central City, and I'll tell you this much:
- [laughing]
- Cisco Ramon: It wasn't Speed Force.
- Felicity Smoak: Wait, wait, hold up. "We've been"? "Wasn't"? As in past tense?
- Caitlin Snow: Interestingly, the atmospheric phenomenon ceased the moment Barry and Oliver left Central City.
- Cisco Ramon: It's like it packed up its bags and followed them here. That's why we came.
- Caitlin Snow: The phenomenon has to be related to Barry and Oliver's...
- John Diggle: [shushing her] Caitlin. Caitlin, just...
- Caitlin Snow: ...body swap?
- Curtis Holt: [under his breath] Don't... don't say it.
- Felicity Smoak: I'm sorry, body... body what?
- Cisco Ramon: [to Dig] You, uh... you didn't tell her?
- Felicity Smoak: Again, tell me what?
- Kara Danvers: Bruce Wayne got us out of jail? It doesn't sound like him.
- Oliver Queen: No, it wasn't. Wayne left Gotham three years ago.
- Kara Danvers: Why? To go where?
- Oliver Queen: [shrugging] No one knows.
- Barry Allen: So who's manning the shop now?
- Oliver Queen: Apparently, after he left, Bruce's board of directors went to town with a bunch of aggressive get-rich-quick deals.
- Barry Allen: Yeah, but an abandoned building didn't bail us out. Right?
- Kara Danvers: [they all notice Kate above them] Whoa. That is definitely not Bruce Wayne.
- Kara Danvers: It seems strange, doesn't it? That Bruce Wayne and Batman disappeared from Gotham around the same time.
- Kate Kane: Well, when Batman left, the city went to five different kinds of hell, which, for Gotham, is really saying something. It took a toll on Bruce.
- Kara Danvers: Is that why he left?
- Kate Kane: Still trying to figure that out.
- Oliver Queen: Right, but you work for him. And you don't know why he left?
- Kate Kane: Who said I work for him?
- Felicity Smoak: Did you lose the coin flip on who has to come talk to me?
- Caitlin Snow: We didn't flip coins. We drew straws. I'm kidding. Actually, I wanted to come talk to you because I think I've got a little bit more experience of alternate realities than you do.
- Felicity Smoak: So what words of wisdom do you have for me?
- Caitlin Snow: That Iris probably has a little bit more experience, as well. And maybe that's why she would've seen something that you didn't.
- Caitlin Snow: Oliver does love you, Felicity.
- Felicity Smoak: Yeah, but what's love without respect, or trust?
- Caitlin Snow: I don't know. But as long as there is love, you can't give up on it. That's the one thing I do know, after everything I've been through. Everything I've suffered.
- Oliver Queen: Where you going?
- Kara Danvers: I'm gonna put on my work clothes and do an x-ray fly-by of the city.
- Barry Allen: I don't think Ms. Kate would be too thrilled with us running around her city.
- Kara Danvers: Well, unless she has some kryptonite stashed somewhere, I'm really not worried.
- Oliver Queen: John Deegan.
- Dr. John Deegan: Oliver Queen! Ha ha!
- [pantomiming shooting an arrow]
- Dr. John Deegan: Whew. It's a genuine pleasure to meet you, sir.
- John Diggle: He knows who you really are.
- Dr. John Deegan: Gentlemen, I was thinking, "Why did I not become the Flash?". And it seems changing reality itself, it's got a bit of a learning curve. So, yeah. This actually explains a lot.
- Oliver Queen: You did this to us? You can undo it.
- Dr. John Deegan: That is true, but I think the question is, um... why would I want to?
- [he presses a button on his desk, and an alarm blares; he escapes while Oliver and Dig are distracted]
- John Diggle: What the hell did he just do?
- Oliver Queen: He bought himself some time.
- John Diggle: Hey, what the hell is this?
- Felicity Smoak: Yeah, no offense, but you need, like, five PhDs for the dumbed-down version.
- John Diggle: How about the very dumbed-down version?
- Felicity Smoak: The quantum flux anchor, that utilizes wave theory to fire nanoparticulates across an Einstein-Rosen Bridge to create a secure claxon field.
- John Diggle: How about the very, very dumbed-down version?
- Caitlin Snow: Felicity made a magnet that will draw whoever's trying to breach through to us.
- John Diggle: You could have just said that.
- Caitlin Snow: What's happening?
- Kara Danvers: [getting into superhero mode] Trouble.
- John Diggle: [leaving Deegan's office] The crazy bastard let all the other crazy bastards out of their cages.
- Caitlin Snow: So, how does a book make people change bodies?
- Elseworlds Flash: Deegan said he was using the book to change reality.
- Cisco Ramon: Same question. How does a book change reality?
- Elseworlds Green Arrow: We'll figure that out when we get back to Star City.
- John Diggle: Yeah, 'cause we're gonna need some help with this lock.
- Batwoman: Good. Then you'll be leaving Gotham. You guys have caused enough problems for one night.
- Elseworlds Green Arrow: Hey, would hitching a ride in the Batmobile be out of the question?
- Batwoman: Get. Out.
- Barry Allen: Jay?
- The Flash: No.
- Barry Allen: Oh, my God. Dad?
- The Flash: My name is Barry Allen. Hello, John.
- John Diggle: Do... do I know you?
- The Flash: You're not wearing your ring. Things must be different here.
- Oliver Queen: Barry, where's there?
- The Flash: My Earth, Earth-90. I have traveled from there to warn you.
- Barry Allen: Warn us about what?
- The Flash: His name is Mar Novu, but he calls himself the Monitor now. He's been unleashing the Book of Destiny across the multiverse to test different Earths.
- Barry Allen: Test them for what?
- The Flash: A crisis that he believes is coming. Novu thinks the Elseworlds created by the Book of Destiny approximates the collision of realities that we're facing.
- The Monitor: [to Deegan] I offered you Godhood and you squandered it on a petty dream. Do better. Think bigger.
- [opens the Book of Destiny]
- Dr. John Deegan: Ohh.
- Oliver Queen: Excuse me, officer? Were you able to get in touch with Laurel Lance at the Star City D.A.'s office, or...?
- GCPD Officer #2: Yeah. She said, uh... "I think a night in jail would do them some good."
- Kara Danvers: I'm sorry about the third degree earlier. I guess the name Bruce Wayne carries a... certain notoriety.
- Kate Kane: Oh, I know. Bruce Wayne's my cousin.
- Kara Danvers: Your cousin? That makes a lot of sense.
- Kate Kane: Actually, I'm in the process of turning this building into a real estate development firm. And this is me hijacking his office.
- Kara Danvers: My cousin's actually friends with Bruce.
- Kate Kane: Hmm.
- Kara Danvers: Um, well, frenemies.
- Kate Kane: Hmm.
- Kara Danvers: Hmm. Do you ever wonder if trying to keep his private life from the public eye got to be too much for him, and he... broke?
- Kate Kane: Sitting at that desk, staring out that window, watching the city that we grew up in rot at its core, you find a way to not break. Bruce didn't leave Gotham without a fight.
- Kara Danvers: You know, I gotta say, all the corporate billionaires I know wear Versace and have... five hundred fewer tattoos.
- Kate Kane: Hmm. And those are the ones that you can see.
- GCPD Officer #2: Good news. Somebody posted your bail.
- Kara Danvers: Who?
- GCPD Officer #2: I don't know. Guess someone wanted to make you guys their headache instead of mine.
- Barry Allen: I would never compare myself to a total badass like Batman.
- Kara Danvers: What I think Oliver is trying to say is thank you for getting us out of jail.
- Oliver Queen: What Oliver's actually trying to say is who are you and why are you helping us?
- Kate Kane: Gotham has enough problems without a guy in green leather showing off his arrows to everyone. So the faster you find what you're looking for, the faster you can get the hell out of my city.
- Kara Danvers: Uh, but, wh-what... what should we call you? Rain? Ms. Parade?
- Kate Kane: Kane. Kate Kane.
- John Diggle: You know, Felicity, there's something very strange going on here, so I wouldn't take this as a commentary on you and Oliver's marriage.
- Felicity Smoak: Oh, my marriage with Oliver is strained by the fact that we've become different people. Quite literally, in Oliver's case.
- Caitlin Snow: You didn't tell her?
- Curtis Holt: Oliver, the actual Oliver, thought he had enough problems with Felicity already.
- Cisco Ramon: Oh, and you didn't think to loop us in on the fact that you were keeping the "Freaky Friday" situation on the hush?
- Curtis Holt: I was thinking it was more like "Quantum Leap".
- Cisco Ramon: Well, if this were like "Quantum Leap", they'd only look like themselves when they see themselves in the mirror, so...
- Curtis Holt: [talking over each other] Well, it depends on what type of "Quantum Leap" you're talking about. There's a sequel.
- John Diggle: [breaking the argument up] Shouldn't we concentrate on where this lightning came from?
- Kate Kane: You guys try facial recognition? One of Bruce's R&D guys still works in the building. I can give this to him.
- Oliver Queen: Uh, we did try it, so thank you, but n-no luck. Besides, I think if Wayne's R&D is in the same shape as this building, it's not really gonna do us any good.
- Kate Kane: Suit yourself.
- Kara Danvers: You really know your way with a computer.
- Oliver Queen: Well, when I was first starting out, I had to hold my own before Felicity showed up.
