Warning: Spoilers
I've never been a big fan of episodes where reality is changed and the characters can't remember each other. They're cliched and this episode was as predictable in it's plot points. That having been said, the plain world they found themselves in was so over-the-top mundane that it was fairly entertaining. Unfortunately, the ending was rushed and if this was the last season I'll be disappointed.

Warning: Spoilers
I loved this TV series and the 2 hour movies that preceded it. The series contained one of my favorite characters of all time - Cassandra Cillian.

I hated these last two episodes. (Read all the way to the bottom where I explain why in detail.) There was hope for another season. With this season finale, I'm not surprised they didn't renew.

I liked Noelle in the 2 hr movie which featured her and Flynn. I really wanted to believe in her. It makes it doubly upsetting with her rescue in the earlier episode and ensuing betrayal leading into this one, but I suppose that's good story planning. But more on that later.

This episode also had a few too many clichés like "thought police". One moment I appreciated was "We're the Librarians" and the result. Cute. But not enough to make the episode.

There are two things I really hate in today's superhero story writing (and the Librarians are kind of superheroes without costume/uniforms): 1) The seemingly invincible supervillian who is almost godlike - infinitely strong, or smart, or in control like Noelle. Noelle's entire plot relied on too many things out of her control and off-the-scale intelligence that by comparison made the 4 Librarians seem dumb. She's a guardian, not a Librarian.

2) Time travel combined with rewriting history to reverse the villain's machinations. Here, the writers did it all that so quickly, and Noelle agreed to help the Library so quickly. Because this was done so quickly, it didn't flow right. The viewer is invested in her as a villain filled with very bitter hatred and suddenly she loves the Library again. Perhaps it's even justifiable, but it's done too quickly. A story line built up over the entire season is erased in less than 2 minutes screen time. Oh, the 2 minute scene was touching, but it was badly rushed and sloppy story writing.

Not only did this episode hit two of my pet peeves, it made this episode a textbook example of what's wrong with those two things.
