Será que é você que vai me salvar?

Everything Sucks! (2018)

Series

1st Season

Episode Two - Será que é você que vai me salvar?

"You're so cute" "I was thinking about you" Lucas' little heart is warmed by Dustina's phrases...

Tyler and Emaline seem to be the only funny ones in this group (to me)...

There was no way not to like this video clip, right?

My English teacher used to play it for us to sing every year in high school, otherwise I'm mistaken...

One year we won (even though some of my friends sang drunk)...

Episode two of the first season of the Miniseries Everything Sucks! Watched on May 9, 2024...

Rating: 7/10.

Very good

Warning: Spoilers
Everything Sucks - Episode Two Continuing my marathon and it's a good episode. Luke's face waiting for Dustina's answer was quite disturbing. Children's thoughts about lesbians, about AIDS, are surreal. And to think that even today there are many people who think that all LGBT people have this disease. Tyler remains my favorite character. The music video was really cool, but it was forced for her to accept. The girl that Dustina allegedly touched her breasts is very pretty. The actor's Luke continue exagered but this series is funny. Next episode i will now. Episode two watched on March 15, 2024.

Maybe You're Gonna Be the One That Saves Me (#1.2)

Warning: Spoilers
Kate is accused of being a lesbian. Luke asks Kate out.

This episode was much better than the first one. I loved the video Luke and his friends did. References to so many songs but of course especially to Oasis.

Kate being called a lesbian was also not bad. Especially since she is one. But so weird Emaline did it to her. A coincidence or did she know it?

And the scene of Luke watching his dad's video was really good. Pretty well acted and emotional.

Title: Wonderwall

This episode was absolutely dizzying in its creativeness and refreshing Donald Glover vibe ending to it.

This series was not promoted very well at all because I am watching a different show than the one that was marketed! This show is complicated and full of feelings of confliction and growing up leading to ultimately saying, "Everything sucks!" Because it's not fair that you cant choose who you fall in love with and love chooses you. It's not fair to be so young and have a broken heart. That's what high school is all about at its core. The high school sweetheart and those memories of being in love and making her or him mix tapes of your favorite songs and then when you break up the last thing you could ever hear are those songs again. Your first song, especially.

It's all about those first moments but especially in hindsight, the very last ones. This series is a gem that is massively underrated and to think it got canceled?????

Two episodes in and I'm in love with this series! 10/10

Top notch acting from all the cast
GraXXoR21 July 2020
So much happens in such a short show that there is barely time to come up for air. The main plot surrounds the protagonists finding a creative way to help Luke woo Kate. How they go about this comprises the core of the episode set to the backdrop of a recent revelation and rumour, that may well scupper our young Romeo's chances.

Yet what I think sets this show apart so far at the end of ep. 3 (beyond the enjoyable main actors) is that although the main cast is up front and centre, they somehow manage -in its short runtime- to find creative opportunities for the rest of the cast.

We even manage to follow a few threads -tangential to the main plot- that serve to deepen the history and create context and bring the Boring High School to life
