“America’s Got Talent” once again easily topped its Tuesday competition in the overnight ratings despite seeing small declines from last week.
“Agt” pulled in a 2.0 rating in adults 18-49 and 11.1 million viewers. That is down around 9% in the demo and 6% in total viewers compared to last week. Still, “Agt” and fellow NBC series “World of Dance” were the only shows to crack a 1.0 rating or above for the night. “World of Dance” was also steady with last week.
On Fox, “Beat Shazam” and “Love Connection” were even.
CBS aired mostly repeats except for “48 Hours: NCIS”, which was down in the demo.
ABC aired repeats except for “The Last Defense”, which was down in the demo.
A new episode of “The 100” was down in both measures on The CW.
NBC walked away with the night with a 1.8 and 9.5 million viewers. Fox was second in the demo with a 0.6 but fourth in viewers with 1.9 million.

We could have told you on Monday who would win Tuesday’s primetime. In reality, we could have predicted this one for readers the moment last night’s schedules came out, featuring “Agt” and “World of Dance” on NBC.

For ABC, “Last Defense” at 10 p.m. had another tough night. CBS’ “48 Hours: NCIS” didn’t exactly do great with the key demo either.

NBC handily won Tuesday night with the season premieres of “America’s Got Talent” and “World of Dance.” However, both shows–particularly “World of Dance”–were down from last season’s premieres.
“America’s Got Talent,” airing from 8-10 p.m., averaged a 2.4 rating in adults 18-49 and 12.1 million viewers, making it easily the top-rated and most-watched show of the night. It was down approximately 11% in the demo and 2% in total viewers from the Season 12 premiere last May.
In its second season debut, “World of Dance” averaged a 1.8 and 7.2 million viewers. That is down 25% in the demo and approximately the same percentage in total viewers compared to the Season 1 premiere. This season’s premiere was in line with the first season’s ratings average though and topped its timeslot by a wide margin.
