The Ozploitation Renaissance (2015)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
Ozploitation director Brian Trenchard-Smith, producer Anthony Ginnane and cinematographer Vincent Monton sit down together to discuss the rise and fall of the sub-genre. If you're a fan of the genre then you'll enjoy this 28-minute documentary that has the three going down memory lane as they discuss how the genre took off, the disadvantages of a low-budget and of course they own films including TURKEY SHOOT, HEATWAVE, THIRST and various others. The three seem to be having a good time going down the memory banks as they discuss what they remember as well as the various highs and lows. Fans of Ozploitation movies will get a kick out of some of these stories so this is certainly worth watching for them.
