Scouting to find music videos of my favorite starlets on seller site, I came across two Jessica Simpson hits available on compilation disks, which isn't my favorite kind of purchase, because included would be any kind of junk, from rappers to who-the- hell- knows-what, so I had to do some serious research to find out if the videos, SWEETEST SIN and WITH YOU, would be worthy of the big bucks needed for importing the items. As for SWEETEST SIN, without taking a peek, simply by reading about it on Wikipedia, and one image on Google, I can gather that there is a whole lot of excitement there, it's on "NOW Best of 2003" and I'm gonna have to get round to it. But the details regarding the music video of WITH YOU sounded more plain, so I thought, heck, no sense taking a chance sight unseen, download it now, make sure it would be worth it, look before you leap! And good thing I did.

Thanks Wikipedia, I wouldn't have gathered from the music video alone that she is making fun of her stereotypical image, being perceived as dumb (by the cretins that is the viewing public = pearls before the swine) just because she thought buffalo wings are from buffalo and Chicken from the Sea tuna might be chicken... and plata-ma-pus refers to her mispronouncing of "platypus"... awwww, who the hell cares about such nonsensical inconsequential idiosyncrasies? Get over it! Actually, I want the music video of IRRESISTIBLE on DVD, but in its original form, it eludes me, not available... And all I care about Jessica Simpson is that she is a pretty girl with lots of cute music videos even if a lot of them are in cahoots with a certain lounge lizard named Nick Lachey, and if she once thought buffalo wings are from buffalo, ah, how cute, nice figure and all that long blonde hair.
But all of what has gone before is sadly wasted in this music video. Making fun of herself by washing dishes and Swiffering the floor just because she was told in her reality show (by said lounge lizard) that she doesn't do enough round the house, leads only to very plain housewife-y shots, and the golfing bit (just because she apparently fared badly at it in her reality show) is just more of a no-real-fun waste. Low production values, quickly into the can, but (almost) just junk.
So, to cut a long story short, the music video I really want of her, at her glamorous best, so great, that's not available to me on DVD, but this trite little two-bit goofing about item is. So I am bummed right now and in a bad mood and blasting it out of the (soap-sudded dish-) water.
For I think she shouldn't have wasted an opportunity to look her level best. For the most part, this one fails to impress. Jessica's trademark is to wow the male audience, I mean WOW them, and while there might be some wow here, there is almost no WOW here, so what's the point...?
I'm surprised it's even represented here on IMDb. So many far-more- worthwhile music videos are (at this stage) not.
