The Jury Speaks (2017)
Season 1, Episode 3: George Zimmerman
This episode of The Jury Speaks takes a look at the George Zimmerman trial, which of course split the nation down the middle. We get to hear from four jurors and an alternate who discuss why they voted the way that they did. Once again, the highlight of this series is that it gives you a chance to actually hear from the jurors. The good thing is that they get to tell their stories, explain why they voted the way they did and they also get to talk about the actual law and how that factored into their decision. This was a very heated trial and it seems tempers were rather hot in the jury room as well. The interviews here are quite fascinating and especially one woman who pretty much went to the media after the trial and lied to build up more issues. It's too bad the producers of this show didn't go after her about this but even her story is one that makes you think about the impact of being on a case like this.
