- Christy: [at AA, with her rapist present] I'm a little nervous so I'm going to do that part again. Hi, I'm Christy, I'm an alcoholic. 16 years ago, I was sexually assaulted. Actually, forget sexually assaulted, I was raped. This is the first time I've ever actually called it what it was. A mugging victim isn't ashamed of being robbed, so why should I be ashamed that I was raped?
- Marjorie: Instead of kicking yourself for not speaking up back then, just be thankful now you're sober and you have a voice.
- Christy: 16 years ago, I was at this house party, and this guy came in with some coke, and we went in the bedroom to do a few lines, and the next thing I knew, he was on top of me, and I was too messed up to do anything about it.
- Wendy: Oh my God, Christy. We need to call the police.
- Christy: It happened 16 years ago, there's nothing they can do now.
- Wendy: What did they do back then?
- Christy: ...I didn't report it. It would've just been my word against his and who's going to believe a drunk stripper?
- Victor: [after Marjorie finds out he took the credit for the plant Christy and Bonnie brought] Why you give me stink eye?
- Marjorie: I needed to get away from Victor. I know he means well and I love him, but sometimes he's like living with a James Bond villain.
- Jill: Bonnie, I am in crisis.
- Bonnie: How can you be in crisis when I just talked to you 20 minutes ago?
- Jill: Emily just left for school and she was wearing a necktie.
- Bonnie: So what, you're worried she might be a lesbian?
- Jill: No! I'm worried she has no sense of fashion and that reflects on me.
- Bonnie: Have you seen the way Christy dresses?
- Jill: Yes, and I judge you for it!
- Bonnie: [on the phone] Mary I'm confused, your sister is your mother and your brother is your uncle?... Oh, he's just your brother... and *which* one of them needs the kidney?
