Doc McStuffins- episode: Emergency Plan
junkmail-332679 August 2017
My children are huge fans of Disney Junior. From bedtime stories to birthday parties they love to see their favorite characters. My husband and I strive to teach my children the importance of traditional families and staying morally clean. This is why the new episode of Doc McStuffins is so disturbing to us. It is completely inappropriate to target my children for your own political agenda. As a serious moral belief, this is a topic I would like to introduce to my 3 and 1 year old.

We are not ignorant of the LGBT+ community and their need to be accepted. We have a sister who is openly homosexual. We love and support her. We believe she should have the same rights as everyone else. However, this is not an issue for Doc McStuffins. I've read the praise Disney is getting for helping children of gay families feel included. Is that really the goal? To make less than 0.1% of the population feel included? It would be cheaper to send each one of them a post card saying you love them (which I would be in support of). No, I do not believe that was the goal. The goal is purely political.

Once again, please do not target my children! Let me teach them the hotly debated topics the way I see fit. This is a topic for families, not for cartoons. We will no longer be watching Doc McStuffins and will be encouraging other families to do the same. This is very disappointing to me. My husband is a doctor and we've loved having a show that highlighted medicine. But, I can't have them watch a show that I can't trust. My children will no longer be able to use the Disney Jr app on their own. All Disney Jr programs will have to be closely monitored and limited. Many families are bring forced to have same sex conversations with their children well before their ability to understand it.

Please stop airing and streaming this episode. It is not appropriate for children. Please respect our standards and keep your other child geared shows, child appropriate
