- After Venezuela's president and his immediate successors are killed in a devastating earthquake, Elizabeth works to stop a power grab by the late president's son, as well as secure the release of the international aid team he arrested. Also, Elizabeth's brother, Will (Eric Stoltz), is torn between saving his marriage by settling down and taking a job at Walter Reed Medical Center or going to Venezuela to assist in the relief effort.
- When an Earthquake hits Venezuela, and when the President and all his legal successors are killed, the country falls into chaos. And when some aid workers go there, they're arrested by a militia group, who are working for the son of the late President who then contacts Dalton and agrees to release the workers if Dalton recognizes him as the new President, which is something he can't do. So Elizabeth tries to find a way to handle it. Nadine is asked by the previous Secretary's widow to check on someone she knows and see if that person is alive. Nadine is nervous because she doesn't know if the widow knows about her affair with her husband. And Elizabeth's brother decides to settle down in the US and be with his family but when he learns about the crisis in Venezuela, he considers going there and Elizabeth tries to get him to reconsider and brings up stuff about their mother which her brother thinks is a low blow.—rcs0411@yahoo.com
