Released on four home computer platforms - Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, MSX and ZX Spectrum. The differences between versions are mainly cosmetic.
The game is significant as the only video game (as of 2016) to be based on "Death Wish" franchise (started by Death Wish (1974)) as well as the only video game based on the movie starring- and featuring likeness of Charles Bronson.
Curiously enough, both the game and the movie it was based on, Death Wish 3 (1985) while being American productions were mostly made in United Kingdom.
Because original copyright owners had never expressed interest in renewing copyright, the game had fallen into "abandonware" and is considered public domain until proven otherwise.
Despite the title, there were never any other Death Wish video games based on the first two movies.
