Hard to Feel Sympathy
Hitchcoc11 June 2018
I enjoyed the first season, but this one seems to be plodding along at the beginning. Marcella is mentally ill, so it's hard to be critical of her, but also hard to be sympathetic. She knows that she blacks out and changes personality. She knows about the blackouts but seeks no help. The whole thing with the pedophile and her own children is hard to watch. She is so fixated. that she is almost willing her own death. I guess I'll have to see where we go in the next

Hard to watch

I don't understand why Jason is apethetic. They lived 12 years and its not make any sense to behave like that. He just a selfish man. Marcella is except that she needs help. Its nice to see Tim and Marcella together. The case is very tough. Hard to watch. Lets see the rest.

Episode 201

Warning: Spoilers
Glad to have such an underrated crime drama back. I don't like how they told you who the bad guy was in episode one and that the pedophile has reverted to his old ways because I am not sure where the drama will come for the rest of the season. We can only listen to Jason and Marcella fight so many times.

Still, an entertaining start.

Not much fun for The Young Ones

A strong start to the series, a bit off-putting that cast members are being introduced to new viewers when you have just watched the whole of the first series. Comedy greats Keith Allen and Nigel Planer (take the sting out of the subject matter despite playing straight roles. A great start to the series.

It's a tough watch.

A grin discovery leads Marcella to investigate a former rock star.

I must admit to a certain degree of sympathy for the reviewer who pointed out that dramas that focus on harm being done to children can be a bit sick, that applies here, there are several strands, all of which point towards child abuse, if like many you find it upsetting, don't watch.

It's a solid start, I'm not into this series quite as much as the first, little seems to have changed, Marcella is still employed, despite having some very evident issues, and Jason is still ruling her life emotionally.

There is drama, can't say I've fully gotten into it after Part one, more to come though. 5/10.

Horrible. Start.

I will never get why writers - stars - directors agree with the harm of children. The start to this season made me click the off button.
