Letícia Spiller and Marcello Novaes, who play the romantic couple Lenita and Vittorio, were once married in real life and had a son together.
Pedro Novaes, the son of Letícia Spiller and Marcello Novaes, played the younger version of his father's role Vittorio in flashback scenes.
The lead was actually written with actress Danni Suzuki in mind and based on her life story, but in between table reads the role was rewritten and given to Giovanna Antonelli instead as Suzuki was allegedly too old for the role (though Antonelli is one year older than Suzuki). Maria Casadevall and Isis Valverde were supposedly considered for the role as well. Suzuki was then given another role as the main character's cousin but for the second time she was deemed too old and the role went to Jacqueline Sato. Suzuki was later offered a third character but chose to leave the series.
