Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Mini-Games
Would you recommend this game to other players?

I DON'T KNOW! It's so hard to decide because I 'll say this about it, it merits a discussion. If I was paid to write a review about the game trust me I could write a novel but for now I 'll put it this way:

Sherlock Holmes is in my top 5 favourite characters of all time. I consider myself a purist and I categorize everything beside the original stories by Doyle as fan-fiction. Good or bad it doesn't matter, it's fan-fiction. Now this is an interesting (at times) fan-fiction with SO MANY unnecessary mini-games that (at times) I was wondering what game I was playing. But I played it and finished and I say that I want to play the next one.

I can't say no to a work of passion and clearly the devs put a lot of it in here. The game is so interesting in its mediocrity that I would recommend it to fans of Sherlock Holmes and to those that want to spare 2 euros (on sale never full price) to play an above average mystery game.

If you are confused it's because that I am as well.

6/10 because the Skip button was my friend.

Very bad

Warning: Spoilers
We can see that Frogware team trying for years to bring atmosphere of Arthur Konan Doyle's masterpiece to life. And we can say they are very successful when they bring only original stories. When they made up their own stories we can see great lack of vision, logic and making Sherlock Holmes totally another kind of person, than he is. Sherlock almost never made final conclusions on speculation. Player needs to hear and see great acting to make conclusions from speech, so there is bad voice acting and models without real face expressions. So there need to be another way. The main thing- Sherlock figured out everything about his neighbour, but he letting her to blackmail him??? Girl from cult, with excellent motive to kill him or his daughter? What the ....? Also game is badly optimized, models are not inspiring, also there is a lot of unnecessary action like saving people from accident and "Tomb raider"-like logic games. Crimes and Punishment is the only gem-for Sherlock Holmes fans.
